JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND SAVIOR ❤. My dad used to play this song before. I had brain damage and I forgot everything and then he died. Now 😊I remember I miss him. Thank you, jesus that I'll see you again in heaven
Just got home from seeing him at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and he performed “Wonderful.” It has stood the test of time and is still an incredible song.
To my wife who has been hospitalized for months...given me 5 kids and the best years of her life. Still the most beautiful girl i have ever seen....one more month ..you are wonderful
This song is my dedication to my girlfriend back in the 90s. The Perfect Girl for me. I got distracted by other things and she ended up marrying my high school tormentor. .....But NOW, 25 YEARS LATER....WE'RE BACK!! THANK YOU,GOD!!
I love this song. How could anyone not love this song... I saw Adam Ant in the 80's to a sold out crowd of a couple thousand in Dallas, 'awesome' show!! When this Cd came out I saw him in Austin to a crowd of maybe twenty, it was sad but he and his band played like it was a crowd of few thousand anyway.
In 1992 I was on the crew for the small tour that Adam funded himself to start promoting the Wonderful album. It was before his real tour for the album. We started out in a van and then moved up to a tour bus. My first tour bus and I was the only stupid American bird on the bus. Marco was named "king whinger". He had every right to be bitter. It was like a club tour. I'm so proud and amazed that Adam gave me a 'thank you' on the credits of the album. He dedicated this song to me when we were at our Palm Springs Venue. He dedicated it to someone different every night, Palm Springs happened to be my night!. He was WONDERFUL to work with and he has a heart of gold. Cheers Stuart Leslie Goddard!!
I think I saw him on the tour you're talking about. My girlfriend always wanted to see him and out of nowhere we found out he was coming to San Francisco. I don't even remember hearing this song at this point. So we went and saw him at The Warfield and Boz Boorer was the guitarist. Great show but the place was maybe half full. We sat up in the mostly empty balcony. I think Babes in Toyland were the opening act. Can't listen to this song without remembering that time in my life.
Am I missing something? Why did I only hear this incredible voice, feel the emotion years after all of his catchy and groundbreaking early '80s work. This should have been a mega hit, and Adam a screen star. A real talent for song! True emotional connection! Yet another reason to love Adam!
Lol yaaah, that's the kind a music that was made back then. He has a beautiful voice for it, the lyrics are very emotional yes, and the music.... is oh my gosh..... lovely & beautiful.
Still kicks my heart after all these yrs. The most beautiful Melody of its time. Hits home. Funny thing is there are alot of people that don't know this song but of the ones that do all will claim it as one of their favorites.
Amen yes! and wow...I was thinking about a person who i met recently and there name was Gil. Then thought about Gilead, the balm of Gilead in the bible. Needless to say I'm still trying to understand what this meeting was exactly about with this person I met named Gil. And Oh! I love your comment here!
I'm just hearing this 1995 song for the first time in 2020. I was wondering where Adam Ant has been and looked him up and some of his earlier music I used to know. Then I came across this song I'd never heard. It's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. It definitely should have gotten bigger ratings. He's still super talented, good-looking, and relevant. I hope he's making more music.
Music like this will never be made again, Adam ant the clash dead Kennedys devo b5's boom town rats madness rush bow wow wow the misfits.....list goes on.
He cries at 2:40. As an artist O am sure he feels deeply. Knowing his troubled mental health history, one can only imagine the pain he felt, and caused, and regretted. Peace, light and love to you, Adam. you brought so much joy, too; and you are wonderful. Thank you.
Too many people just listen to songs and if they think about the artists they think everything must be amazing. Those people with artistic ability usually have lots of mental problems which is a sad thing. Adam has been making music since the early 1980's and to me that means he has been hit so hard from his problems but he is stronger then many, many people because he kept at it. I tip my hat to him cause I know the kind of strength that requires!
Saw an interview.Adam says he was emotional. Not sure if it was talking real or the video part.Another interview; saying he gave that X girlfriend a copy of the song.I wonder if she ever said thank you; or anything.
I absolutely loved Adam's corny songs in the 80's, "Goody Two Shoes", "Strip" but something about this song makes me appreciate him as a true artist. Such a awesome song that strikes straight to your soul.
Reading about what Adam went through and his self-awareness to know he needed help is amazing. Glad he got better and did not lose the greatest gift he gave to all of us. Amazing.
I remember hearing this song quite often on a radio station in Chicago during the early 2000s. It reminds me of evenings when I was a teenager and I would lie on my bed listening to the radio. I would hear this song and automatically sing to it.
Absolutely right. When I broke up with the one I considered my "everything", and while telling a friend about it...... this song came on the radio . That was back in 1997...... it is still painful to listen to it; but not as much as it was than night.
My close friend Anthony Paul Kunewalder wrote, produced and directed this video for EMI. He got to hang out with Adam in London for a couple weeks and told me all about it before he died. Adam sounds like a really cool guy, talented, educated, articulate, erudite. All around artist and british gentleman, albeit with a punk streak.
I've been waiting for someone who can explain the video to me. I love the song but I don't understand why they have shots of the cast looking different. Please spell it out for me😮
@@jenniferdietl7702 Tony died in 1994 but that was kind of the style he was going for in a lot of the music videos he wrote, directed, and produced. Just suggestive of something dark or unfamiliar beneath it all I guess. No hidden story line or anything. Similar images used in Morbid Angel and DRI videos that he did. or Mommygod, he did all thier videos.
@@jenniferdietl7702 The way I see it, he's revisiting the town of an old love, watching her get married to another man from afar. As he tours through the town in a taxi, he reviews how much he misses her, his regrets about taking her for granted, and difficulty controlling his temper. He sees and remembers the people around her...the shopkeepers, her family, the priest, and of course her husband to be. In his mind, the town is a dirty and dismal place, full of seemingly ordinary people, but underneath, they are grimy and grotesque. She is the only wonderful pure being amidst all the darkness. As he gets close enough to see the wedding procession, he sees her stop a moment, trailing behind her husband hesitantly. As she looks up and glances at him, he pictures her wearing a stained dress, and a crown and blindfold of thorns, underlining the sadness of the event and imagining her to be suffering and settling for a man not worthy of her. He does not, however, get out of the taxi. He rides on, seemingly accepting that it's "really over", the unfortunate consequences of his actions.
I saw a license plate last week that said Tea Time. It must of been for you! A God wink, from the Lord God Jesus, he says hello and he's got his eye on you!
Its 2024 and I just saw Adam in Oakland tonight. I was so worried he would not perform this beautiful song, but he did. It was the most well received song of the night even though a lot of folks were there to hear Goody Two Shoes, Strip, etc. This is far and away his best work. It showcases his voice unlike any other song.
Just finished Adam's book - I loved it! So I'm revisiting his music and I love this track. I have so much respect for this man, both as an artist and a human. Thanks for being in the world Adam. Sarah x
Such an underrated musician. I'm so glad I grew up with this sorta music. Being born in 1975 afforded me the best music ever. I feel sorry for you millennials, for real. This song , you could tell how much emotion and pain he was feeling. No hype, nothing like the crap these days that is filled with no substance at all. This is what real music looks and sounds like. Enjoy!!!!
I will forever be in love with a lost love of mine. Not a single day goes by that she doesn't cross my mind. I will love her for the rest of my life. I hope she's happy and safe. She IS Wonderful and i miss her.

FINALLY!!!!!! For decades I heard this song on the radio without ever knowing the name of the song nor the artist/band. Now that question has been answered.
Omg he is so freaking gorgeous...with makeup or without ! I love Adam Ant and can't wait to see him in 2020 ! I wish this song was on the set list...although it makes me cry every single time especially where he's crying at the end. I wonder if it's real tears...Scorpios are deeply emotional people but they usually don't like to share that with everyone else.
Whose listening in 2021! About 10 years ago at a Halloween party I dressed as Adam Ant - make up, paint, boots, tailored coat and gold pants. Though most people didn’t know Stuart I was paying homage to him. I always loved his costumes and I have a degree in design. That night I taught some of the “youngins” about him. This is my favorite song.
I am 22 years old, found this song when I was 18.. in 99% I only listen to songs from 90s and earlier to 50s… When someone plays a song for example from 2005 it seems new to me. So I would say I know there are so many underrated songs and artists from that time. But to see this only has 1 million views on the most viewed clip on CZcams is truly insane. This should have been a hit song. I wish I was born 50 years ago and had the experience of hearing songs like this when they came out… In my opinion no one in the last 20 years came close to what music was done in the last century… very weird feeling for me
Weird feeling in a good way, right? As someone who *was* born 50 yrs ago, I'm greatful that the music I liked in my youth is nothing like today's. This song actually stands out more to me *now*, since great pop songs these days are such a rare thing. Really not as much back then.
@@BarefootPeasant Thank you for commenting, yes, weird feeling in a good way. The best thing is i have over 500 songs in my playlist from 60s-80s that I gain listen to over and over agian plus I listen to some more which are not there and I still rarely find something I like and haven’t heard. But what am I gonna do in 30 years..? I hope it’ll still sound like now, you tell me haha. But my all time favorite is Al Green let’s stay together and it always feels like hearing it for the first time in Pulp fiction…
@@tomaskysela9389 Yeah, Al Green had some great ones! Don't worry about running out of good vintage stuff to listen to. I'm pretty sure there's still *plenty* for you to discover. If music's *really* your thing, your tastes will broaden, and more and more great stuff will find you. For example, I'd never heard of Fela Kuti in my 20s, but OMG so good to me now! There are some great channels here on YT, featuring great music that I never heard when I was younger. There's *so* much out there that never got the attention it deserves.
I think this song is about Karen Landau since she got married to Michael Praed (hence the bride in the video) and Adam always talks about how he wrote the song 2 years after a relationship ended. I think the album coincided with the Heather Graham relationship and the rest of the songs are about her. It's bittersweet, but a lady's man be like that ; )
I'm still in love with Adam ant after all these years! There's just something about his voice that gets me every time I listen to him. I was a huge ants fan back in the day and still listen now. I miss those days for all the creativity. I remember looking forward to the next song and the next song. You never knew what was coming from car trouble to kings to Prince charming. What amazing music!
His emotion catches me everytime I listen to it. So raw and powerful. I'm grateful Adam put this out to the world. Sometimes we need someone to reflect our feelings and this does it perfectly.
He has acted. I've only seen him in an episode of "Northern Exposure" as himself. Then he played some sick dude who did "snuff" films in the old show called "The Equalizer."
I'm a heterosexual woman, married for 30 years, but this woman in this video had me .......breathless . What a beautiful lady....wow, just WOW 😳 STUNNING ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Did I tell you how much I miss your sweet kiss? Did I tell you I didn't cry? Well, I lied, I lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lied. Over, real over, when I nearly hit the face I loved. I'm so tired of packaging the anger, always pushing you away. Did I tell you you're wonderful? I miss you, yes, I do. Did I tell you that I was wrong? I was wrong, 'cos you're wonderful, yeah. Did I tell you how much I miss your smile? Did I tell you I was okay? Well, no way, now way, way way. Over, real over, when I nearly hit the face I loved. I'm so tired of packaging the anger, always pushing you away. Did I tell you you're wonderful? I miss you, yes, I do. Did I tell you that I was wrong? I was wrong, 'cos you're wonderful, yeah, heay. Now, now, now, each and ev'ry day, I realize the price I have to pay. You, you're wonderful. So high, I can't get over it. So deep, I can't get under it. You, hoo, you're wonderful. yeah. You're wonderful, yeah, yeah. You're wonderful, yeah, yeah. You're wonderful, yeah, yeah, wonderful. Did I tell you you're wonderful? I miss you, yes, I do. Did I tell you that I was wrong? I was wrong for so long, long, long. Did I tell you you're wonderful? I miss you, yes, I do. Did I tell you that I was wrong? I was wrong for so long, long, long. Did I tell you you're wonderful? I miss you, yes, I do. Did I tell you that I was wrong? I was wrong for so long, long, long.
Upon its release i first had this on cassette and used to listen to it whilst on the way to antenatal classes with our first child. A wonderful song for wonderful times. Thanks for posting.
This has the quintessential early 1990s sound to it! I was starting off in college and I remember days that were overcast much like the atmosphere in the video. I don't recall ever hearing this song when it came out...but it so speaks to me on many levels. Score one for the internet!
Hey . Really You think so. There's so many different styles of Pop Rock music at the time in the early 1990s. Nothing like THIS had been created and play on FM radio station then. So this song demonstrate what talent contracted vocalist and musicians possessed to have a recording contract. A gimmick and repertoire goes a long long way. Keep following up on this one. Alt rock! Stay in tune with Mr Goddard. An upcoming film series project to feature music by all male vocalists original music film series soundtrack release date TBA 🏆🎵🎵
Everything he did was underrated + difficult to purchase in a small town that grew into a big city. I remember driving (early 1980's) for over 2 hours, he was playing at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk Virginia where the Acoustics were, of course, the best in all of the surrounding cities! I would like to thank Adam Ant if he is actually reading any of the posts that mention him, whether by Adam Ant and/or Stuart Goddard. He's been part of my life since Adam and the Ants. We were blessed to have him show up in Virginia in that small little theatre....that was the best concert/performance that I think I had ever seen! That is why he is & will always be the best performer, singer, artist, survivor of life, I have ever seen. I also very much appreciate the gift he gave us about his health. I will always keep him in my prayers. ❤🙏
2024 everyone?
Absolutely.

Tragically underrated song. Seriously.
Stopped in tonight for a listen. Wonderfully atmospheric and real.
I have woke up to this song for 2 weeks playing in my head
Yep
Tragically underrated. Beautiful understated.
Adam is just underrated in the US...period
With over 40 years of "Wonderful" music, I think this man more than deserves a spot in The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Just got home from seeing him at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and he performed “Wonderful.” It has stood the test of time and is still an incredible song.
Saw him last night. I can't stop thinking about it and how good it was. I saw him 42 years ago. Amazing performance.
How can I find out where he is traveling?
To my wife who has been hospitalized for months...given me 5 kids and the best years of her life. Still the most beautiful girl i have ever seen....one more month

He's coming to Albuquerque. Hope I can go. Remember goody two shoes
This is one of the best songs of the 90s and it's not even up for debate. I'm from South America and it still gets played on the radio in my hometown.

You nailed it. Artists are just the most raw, pure versions of ourselves, barriers purposely down, for our joy and entertainment.

Really listen to the lyrics. Adam is Bi-Polar. You can hear the pain. He has come a long way and I am glad he is stable and healthy.
2019 still so good...👍👍👍👍👍👍
And now in 2021
@@silentxero5955 and Now in 2022 too...! 😜🤘🏻
from junior high - to college - i blasted this album in my apartment in Winterpark florida
@@BarefootPeasant Thank you! I’ll definitely check out your tip
I think this is in my TOP 3 favorites of ADAM!!!
This reminds me of being 14 and how good summertime felt and how easy life was.
I think this song is about Karen Landau since she got married to Michael Praed (hence the bride in the video) and Adam always talks about how he wrote the song 2 years after a relationship ended. I think the album coincided with the Heather Graham relationship and the rest of the songs are about her. It's bittersweet, but a lady's man be like that ; )
Heartfelt song! beautiful words! Adam is always AMAZING! infact he is wonderful!
Loved him in the 80's! I still adore him today! ❤🤗😍
This is one of my favorites , I love wonderful , this should have been a number one hit around the world 🌎! Part of the soundtrack of my life … TYAA
If a Gentleman wrote a beautiful song like this for me...I would just melt!!!! So lovely!
His emotion catches me everytime I listen to it. So raw and powerful. I'm grateful Adam put this out to the world. Sometimes we need someone to reflect our feelings and this does it perfectly.
He would have made a GREAT actor!
Jacks Adam Ant is an actor...He has acted in movies and television.
He has acted. I've only seen him in an episode of "Northern Exposure" as himself. Then he played some sick dude who did "snuff" films in the old show called "The Equalizer."
Such a brilliant song by Adam ant 😊😊😊
This song is ... Wonderful!
It makes me feel good about me that I get how absolutely perfect this song is..
IMHO, this is easily his best song. It's simply magical.
This is Wonderful. Beautiful song, from a truly talented and gifted singer. Loved all his songs, memories always.
I'm a heterosexual woman, married for 30 years, but this woman in this video had me .......breathless .
What a beautiful lady....wow, just WOW 😳 STUNNING ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think this is one of his best!!! This song deserved so much more attention.📢📢📢
Just a awesome song should have been a huge hit
Beautiful music, do not get tired of Hearing it!! 😍😍😍😍❤
it’s July 2022 and this song is *STILL* the most profoundly sad and beautiful cut. it’s so great it shoujd have won a Nobel Prize !
Song still sounds fantastic
it's the best "i'm sorry" song.
Have followed Adam since the early 80's not easy for a kid living in rural Alabama. Still love his music.
Agreed, one of the most talented musicians in the last 40 years. Thanks.
Only 389k views? What a scandal given the quality of this song.
So many people who have lost because of a forgotten word or act that could have changed their entire life or someone who was very close to them
Did I tell you how much I miss your sweet kiss?
I was wrong
for so long, long, long.
Real Men Cry...true
When I was 15 me and my friends would ring up our local radio station for them to play this song, constantly.
I love Adam Ant. 🎤❤️👏🏻 Saludos desde Argentina! 🇦🇷
Canción de radio Aspen jajaj la amo
This is a really cool jam!!I totally 💜 it!!Adam
Ant is still a power haus without a doubt!!
Bravo 2 this bad ass rocker!!!🤪👍
Upon its release i first had this on cassette and used to listen to it whilst on the way to antenatal classes with our first child. A wonderful song for wonderful times. Thanks for posting.
My ex stole this cd from me. Got it back. New husband attended San Diego concert at the 4th & B. Wonderful.
How did I miss this gem years ago, and just discovering it now
This has the quintessential early 1990s sound to it!
@@anejajaysawal9204 Nice!
Imagine if it was released when the wide net existed.
@@govinda102000 Indeed!
I agree that this song is under rated xxx it's really beautiful xxx
This song makes cry. This is like Adams ending to something 💓wonderful. Like if I had to say goodbye to Adam, this what I'd sing to him.
This song is tottaly 90's soul... I always admired the original, Adam always was so original ..
It's 80s.
@@tonysantos1778The song was released in 1995
Everything he did was underrated + difficult to purchase in a small town that grew into a big city.
Last time I saw him in concert was 1985 in Royal oak Michigan.
I still love him,his music, and his involvement in the eighties!
so underrated love all of his shit. seen him strip tour. best time of my life
this my favorite song of his
