    Rolling insanity... My mind keeps trying to make sense of it all..... I mean I am a trucker and I've worked on a lot of Detroit diesels in boats.... Mainly two stroke....... I mean it's really in your face..
    And then as you go around the back of it the thing that really blows my mind is the Detroit Diesel emblem that you cut into the steel back there behind the fifth wheel....

  • @iBackshift
    @iBackshift Před 3 lety

    Like #276. That was fking MINT ! Hmm...have to figure out how to get that truck to come off the line at the correct rpm "past its power peak rpm" like a super low first gear so when you shift next gear, the engine rpm "lands on the power peak" and not below it and have to climb up to the power peak. Anyway, very jealous over here....love the truck, great work.

    Hate that he lost to some 4cycle's but if he had a 12v71or92 in it I'm sure he'd dust them cause I know those other trucks got engines that are 893cu in,1150cu in or over in them and in-line

    • @andrewking9761
      @andrewking9761 Před 3 lety +1

      I love Detroits myself but big 4 strokes always develop more torque, they have a lot bigger crankshaft and flywheel. I worked for a guy that had a Mack titan 4x2 drag truck with a E9 V8 with compound turbos had so much grunt it blew the diff apart from other things before that.

    • @timtaylor2202
      @timtaylor2202 Před 3 lety +1

      @@andrewking9761 Well he's just using an 8V-92 tho.I've seen and saved many videos of 12V-71's leaving Cummins and Cats in the dust but yeah the stroke(and in-line too.If you notice in-lines produce their power at lower revs than vee's for example DT466 210hp at 2100rpm|CAT 3208 210hp at 2800 and likely due to pistons firing off directly on top off crankshaft and not from the sides) and just overall displacement on an 1150(and a likely suped up 1150) is going to be hard for just an 8V-92TT to overcome

    • @hughwolfe8524
      @hughwolfe8524 Před 2 lety

      16v92 in a truck, one in Houston, it looks OEM as well, turned down they are 750 HP .

      Last month teaching one of the new Ranch hands how to float gears drive , he was 16 , summer time job .
      If the majority of "4 wheeler's " got a chance to drive a truck, they'd love it, the feeling of power is incredible, bobtail anyway . Deisel price was significantly lower I'd have one for a daily driver...
