      The elites don’t like what he has to say - they want us dependant on pills, the next diet, the next Oprah book, consuming unnecessary things and their entertainment to ry feeling better. And they want people to fell ‘oppressed’ so that we rely our hopes on them to change our lives and vote for their ‘promising’ policies. So as always they’ll create an image and a character with their fallacies , which most people will fall for until they actually listen to him talk.

      Life is suffering

    • @stevenbarclay613
      @stevenbarclay613 Před 2 lety +3

      Sometimes suffering lurks in our shadows and life’s distractions keep us from looking at, or even seeing it. But it is there to varying amounts throughout time. An individual like Dr Peterson displays great courage having visited his own underworld time and time again. Carrying his torch of cleansing light to illuminate his own shadow. Through this process he undoubtedly experienced the very real pain brought on by the death of parts of the ego. I say this because he speaks of this very thing. But not just that, he also speaks of the beauty of the rebirth of the higher self, and what greater purpose in life is there than that?! Like the rebirth of a phoenix raising from it own ashes. Perhaps this is the meaning in life? How much better could our world be if each of us did just this one thing…learn to open our eyes and really see, feel, and love ourselves and in the process others as well. Dr Peterson seems to have found great meaning in all of this and is now a torch bearer for many others. His work has transformed my life and, in this, I am not alone. After all meaning is the antidote to suffering and when we start to unpack all of this we learn that the gifts of life’s wisdom only come from the understanding of our own mistakes, suffering and attachments whatever those may be. This wisdom is more valuable than gold itself.
      I trust that heartbreak or pity is a very real feeling. Explore it with curiosity and compassion. Meditate on it. Ask yourself truthfully is it for Mr Peterson? The fundamental nature of the shadow is that we project ours onto others. Please understand this is not good or bad, it is simply the human condition. It is nothing to be ashamed of, but rather something to be curious about. Grateful for. As it has allowed all of us to cope and continue to exist through our pain. I understand this may not be true for you but, I urge you to not answer this question lightly, or quickly from the mind. For the mind can be deceiving. Rather really allow yourself the space and respect to feel into it. Connect to your source, whatever that may mean for you, really feel it in your body and honestly ask what your heartbreak is trying to tell you? 🙏
      For me feelings of immense gratitude for Dr Peterson come up. For he has shown us the way to deal with the perceived ugliness in our own shadows because that is the path to our higher selves. As we tentatively learn to walk this new path, with care, we find that what lurks in the places we least want to look are in fact the greatest gifts in life. It is the place where mistakes stop being mistakes but rather become our greatest source of our own wisdom and our inner teacher of life’s lessons. Our connection to a higher source.

      Atoi Ngam Only liberals would cast him in a negative light. Why? Current liberalism is attempting to enslave followers to the narrative despite our excesses that they are victims, owed something and it their neighbor depriving them from reaching their goals. Those fallacies cause them to depend on others for things to improve, they in this dependency can steal from others more competent. They can even use violence to even the playing field. Peterson is blowing that fallacy of thinking and their false premises. Who you are, want to be, become is your responsibility and up to you. If you fail or succeed is no one else's fault but your own. You are the author of your own destiny.

Everyone deserves to be respected for our differences and individuality. What I love about being a conservative. I don't have to view life like you do through the lens of victimhood. I'm a victor even when I hit a crisis or suffer. Because I'm the author of my life not my government or my neighbor having to give me something so I'm okay. I'm responsible for the outcome of my life. I'm not a victim like liberals like to be to manipulate other to have to give them their gifts. Develop your own. Be a leader

      Intelligence is always better than dogma, and people of more dogmatic mindset seem to very cranky at the kind of free thought, shared ideas and open discussion that Peterson promotes. Some people who attack such things by way of a strawman or by ad hominem just want a closed-architecture system of knowledge, one which preserves personal status and deliberately controls other people, basically. Not just in universities, but other institutions and often for example in journalism.

Well, I didn’t have one, but I decided as a kid that, if ever I was to become a parent, I’d try really hard to be a good father. Because I knew what a terrible thing it is to have have no one care what you do or what happens to you.
    You can be your own carer. Take care of yourself as if you really matter, has gradually been what I did, after a few decades of flopping around, being a worthless victim. JBP has nothing to do with it in my case, but I find myself nodding a helluva lot & occasionally sharing clips with my daughters. Then we talk.

    This CD has three separate relaxation/meditation sessions on it czcams.com/users/postUgkxzpa8CIfZcihW4Z0F_ja0QF3W9KIatrsq guided by a very pleasant and direct male voice. Unlike so many other products of its type, this CD does not have bad synthesizer music, does not feature a phony or affected style of narration, and does not make any bogus claims to be subliminal or to re-train the brain or any of that balderdash. What you get is 1. a guided meditation for getting into a pleasantly relaxed state of body awareness while taking a stroll (superb for those easing back into a fitness routine slowly after an illness or injury) 2. A nice long breath-awareness relaxation session that if followed diligently can put you into very deep states of full-body relaxation and mental calmness, and 3. a buddhist-inspired meditation session designed to help you develop and maintain feelings of loving kindness toward not just yourself and your friends, but toward people you don't even like. The CD makes no claims to be designed for advanced meditators or for buddhists or hindus/yoga practitioners looking for very deep and esoteric stuff. It is geared more toward the average person who just wants to develop the habit of relaxation and stress relief through natural, healthy means. him, if you happen to be reading this, keep up the good work fella, and I love your accent. I would also like to note that I have never fallen asleep while listening to this product. I would like to kindly suggest to the reviewer who said this CD makes him fall asleep, that he might want to get checked to see if he has a sleep disorder, or if he is simply not setting aside ample time for restful sleep at night. A healthy person getting adequate rest at night should be able to go into deep states of mental relaxation without dozing off, if not all the time, then most of the time.

As long as I maintain integrity and my health holds up it would just be a matter of time before I had money again. I feel grateful and blessed to have the people in my life that makes my life so good. I thought everyone knew what JP is talking about. It’s not easy but it works. As an agreeable person I spent the majority of the last 20 years focusing on my family and children as this was the goal I found most rewarding in my life. Five years ago I got divorced and my narcissistic ex used alienation to destroy my relationship with my children and now everything that made my life fulfilling was lost in the blink of an eye. Trying to rebuild my life and motivations after this loss has been the most difficult thing I have ever endured.

    Simplified. Know who you are and what you want in life. Then plan it and execute it. Most people plan more for their vacations than for their lives. They just float along, following what the other sheeple do. Unfortunate. It's why so many people are unhappy.

      This is why I'm stuck. Completely, I have no idea what makes me ALIVE. I have passions, but I always have second thoughts. Jordan mentions to do something that relates to your personality type, but I'm not sure what mine is. The idea that I need to get a job and earn money to do anything, working day in, day out completely depresses me. It puts me off completely, even though I NEED one and looking is humiliating, and debilitating. I'm just floating along, doing the bare minimum, thinking it shouldn't be this way. I know I have to make it, but the motivation is the biggest problem for me. I have none. And finding it, has been hard. This video is for people like me, for definite. It's already helping, and I'm not far into it.

      @@mangalover0149 I hope something with you has changed in the last 3 months. Same boat here. A recent very sudden death has opened my eyes about wasting time, and I'm pretty late in life (early 30s) and people are telling me that my step dads death changed me somehow. Personally I feel it's a "life is short I've wasted time being nice instead of being totally honest" and I think honesty is what is needed more in life than tip toeing around avoiding saying something that'll hurt their feelings.
      Just know that there are people who feel exactly as you do, and this video hit home hard, and put into words those random thoughts that you can't really express to other people more eloquently than I ever could have. I don't have the advice to help you fix whatever is going on with you, but just knowing there are actually REAL other people out there dealing with the same stuff I hope is comforting for you.

      I'd say many people (50%+) have a fairly clear goal set. But then their family unit is lost; they're laid off and the preset career becomes gradually unstable; their friend network (which only a minority have, I suspect) is chipped away slowly. My point? the stabilizing meaning centers of our lives quite easily slip out of our grasp, and largely due to no serious fault of our own, I suspect. We do need to work on, define, and set up goals. But goals need to be one feature within a larger structure. Goals, and achieving them, doesn't make a life meaningful, but we still need them of course. But by themselves they don't constitute a solution.
