I know it's a heavy cost but you should replace all 6 at one time so they age together and should charge more evenly and last longer. I think they should be periodically rotated in position for better life, but I'm not sure on that one.Drop under load should never go below 5.5.Great video.
Thanks for your help. When I charge my 1988 EZGO cart, the needle on the charger goes up to 15 then drops back to zero and stays there. Does that mean the batteries are charged? This is my first golf cart, and I got it three days ago. Thanks for your help.
You do understand that adding a new battery or 2, to older batteries like that, are going to do nothing but accelerate the wear on the new batteries.. just waiting money..
Wouldn't you have to unhook all the cables, to get an accurate reading for each battery? Right now, it would seem like you are getting false readings since batteries are still connected to each other.
First thing is to disconnect all batteries the LOAD test with a carbon pile tester. Then if you have on bad battery in the pack you change ALL THE BATTERIES!
close enough for diagnostics - all you are looking for is a battery to drop drastically different from the rest - not unlike testing your way through a live circuit board (back in the days when we fixed them not swapped them - good luck with repairing surface mount technology pc boards)
The batteries are wired in series, so his voltage drop approach is sound. While the absolute voltages might be different if the batteries were disconnected, the relative values of each battery should be consistent whether they are connected or not.
So what did you learn? Why did you check batteries with and without a load? What will you do as a result of your tests? Why not share a quick summary? Without those answers the video was a waste of my time. Cute kid. Was good to see you letting him help.
Your video helped me more than any other so called golf cart videos on the whole internet! Thanks brother!
Good job, made sense and easiest to understand of all the "check load" videos. THANKS!
3:20, Waiting for,”STOP THE GOT DAMN CART SON!!!” 😂🤣😂🤣, quick n easy tutorial. Thanks for helping me figure out I bought a dud of a golf cart.
good tutorial and you have great helpers.

Thanks man!!!
What is a minimum good normal reading on a 36V battery ? Thanks

Those are some pimp test probes
Good video thanks
Good video
What type of alligator clips are those? Link?

I was wondering that. Anytime I have a bad battery in a multiple battery pack I change them both.
What kind of meter tester are you using?
Can I use the same ones you use on houses?

You can still test one battery at a time by using just that battery's terminals.
"We'll stop, WE'LL Stop."
also pos lead from one battery to the other is not going to read properly u have to measure every other one and change them all out at the same time.
I got two battery's that drop to 0 right when u press the gas
Armando Monreal me too....
crazy loco ended up replacing all batteries three were bad all good now
Whaaaaaaat? 1:18 for the oldest batt in the pack you got 62.5 volts? I bet she squeals wheels with that one hot pack!
Wow
Pancake man vape hell yeah

My son not boy like he's a step child even if he is a step child have respect hill respect U at the end of the day
Like.
duh huh
You ae not Getting an Accurate Reading on Batteries until they are Isolated from each other...
randy beard I tried it both ways and they read the same.
randy beard m

randy beard that’s what I was thinking

Stop wasting money... go lithium
