Dj was such an underrated champ, easily of the most skilled on the roster for sure before being traded
lost to macnall who nobody knows lost to moraes who nobody knows lost cejudo and cruz they were justifiable and lost to a bum like pickett no he wasn't underrated in any means he was overrated he beat nothing but bums nobody here can name his wins other then maybe 2 which is embarrassing without using any sources of information he fought scrubs but only khabib gets that treatment because he never lost
dj is a clown for saying double champ is easier then defending if that was true then dj wouldn't have lost to cruz while not holding another belt that is proof why double champ is way harder then defending especially against bums like dj did

@@hellotron9118 You just started watching MMA recently and went back to look at his record. '...nobody can name his wins other then...' You've just named two for us: Cejudo and McCall. Off the top of my head, Horiguchi, Benavidez, Bagautinov, and Dodson. I didn't have to look them up because, unlike you, I followed the division from the very beginning. I saw the McCall fight you're referencing. McCall blew it by showboating and not finishing Mighty Mouse when he had the opportunity. A draw was perfectly reasonable for a competitive fight like that. McCall was considered one of the best (if not the best) Flyweight's in the world at the time. The fact that he drew with him and then dominated him in the rematch says a lot.

Either you don't know what the actual result was and actually think he has an official loss on his record, or you're saying that McCall was robbed of a win. If it's the latter, then I could just as easily discredit Cejudo's win and claim Mighty Mouse deserved the victory (many believe that to be the case).

I don’t know if underrated is the right word. He’s always getting mentioned in the GOAT conversation. I think a better word is unloved. Fans just didn’t tune in to his fights despite the fact that he put on some of the most beautiful performances of all time.

I think it’s just because the liver kick is what sealed the deal in that fight so they didn’t include it as a “knockout”. Yeah Moreno punched him in the face a good few times after, but Kai was already done when he hit the floor.

DJ has the most consecutive title defenses in UFC history and 12 title fight wins which is more than GSP. Also DJ was never popped for any substances which you can’t say about Jones or Silva. DJs resume stacks up to theirs with ease and the only knock on DJ is the name value.
DJ is so underappreciated and underrated. He is def one of the greatest to ever do it.

Yeah and they’re getting bigger now too. The Matt Schnell fight looked like two Bantamweights. You’re not seeing as many guys who are smaller like DJ or Benavidez. Plus I love the speed. It’s like lightning with how how fast they hit.

I actually seen a flyweight(really a male straw right cause he walked around 125-130lbs) takedown and tap a middleweight during sparring (the middleweight was out of shape though but still was a beast)

Conor is a BEAST. But also the guy who better sells and promove himself. Before the Nate Diaz fight, UFC fans voted him in a second place pound for pound OF ALL TIME. Don't get me wrong, He's reaaaaaally good. But not in top 5 conversation.. Might Mouse never tried to promove himself and it's underrated for many.

I'm not huge but I'm 5 '11" a 180 pounds with a fit framed and work hard on my cardio ever day with fitness training of different kinds. Crazy to think that these 125lbs guys can ALL kick my and all of us in the comments ass's in seconds without even really trying. Not to mention all the women in the game can do the same.... I remember being a new student in Jujitsu and thinking I'm better then all the new guys cause my natural athletics and then having a 15 year old girl that weighed 100lbs put me in a pretzel with in 20 second. Must humbling thing I've ever had done to me. Amazing this level of fighting exists for purely our entertainment.

DJ is not underrated, he's under appreciated. The UFC in pursuit of profits is willing to lose real martial artists for fighters that can stoke controversy, put bums on seats & sell pay per views.
