    Nice job! Lots of stuff to lose. I’m surprised only one screw dropped. I might as well put it all on the floor and then look for it first because that’s where it all ends up when I work on things!

      I love the super fast shipping! It’s awesome. For the Grease I use a blue aqua craft for boats. It’s water proof and sling proof for flex shafts so it’s nice that it don’t sling off the shafts or gears. It’s super sticky! Great stuff! Last forever too. As far as the screw goes did you try to heat it up? Use a solder iron and hold the iron on the screw get it really hot and see if it will break lose. If it won’t then take it apart because you can get one side off right? Use a cut off wheel and cut a flat spot to use a screw driver or just replace the shaft and screws. A few different ways to do it.

      @@westhobbiesrc8051 right,,ya it's fine for now ,but just knowing it was bent once bothers me..don't know how I got it right bending it by hand but it don't vibrate and runs smoothly..I was able to replace the main easy enough ..but ya ,il have to buy new blade grips and stuff if I can't get it next time..hope there's not a next time lol

      I see you can buy the explorer now with all metal head sense everyone was doing it eventually anyways or maybee some like the plastic..but they sure jacked up the price when they did .still a incredible value tho..price is 300 $ .and some after tax I want a explore version as well but just got the V2 ..I want a lot of things man not a big enough house 🏠 ha ha !

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Před 2 lety

      Yeah they raise the price but now you get metal blade grips and swashplate. So I guess definitely worth the extra $50 now. One day I will make a garage tour video and show my collection it is super hard to fit everything I own in a one car garage! But I do it and it works but I can’t wait to have a bigger workshop!

    Good vid. There's 2 washers missing though that go over the end screws before screwing them into the shaft. The two races are different sizes also.. the one with the larger inner diameter goes on the inside (side closest to the head block).

      @westhobbiesrc8051  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you, hmmm. I’ll have to look at it exploded parts diagram because that’s all that was there when I took it apart. There is zero slop or play in the head but worth a look into.

    Why does the assembly on this head use so many parts as opposed to the 3 and 4 head assemblies?

    Can you tell me what the screw is that you used to attach the linkage rod OSHM 2008 To the rotor holder set 0SHM 2082
    I lost those screws in my last crash my helicopter space OMP M2 Explorer

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Před 2 lety +1

      What a millimeter? Or what specific screw it is? I don’t think you can buy them separate from OMP but you can buy the full screw kit pretty cheap. I believe it’s around a 2 mm or 1.5 mm thread I would have to measure it. But I believe the full screw kit is around $10 and you get plenty of different screws for the whole helicopter. Buddy RC sells them.

    What type of grease can you use? White lithium? It's like a real slimey stuff..I wish I could get mine apart .the one side but it won't let me pull it out either I take one side off and try to pull it and it won't move

    At 3:18, what is the piece called that youre unscrewing in the arm? I broke that in a crash on mine, and I cant find anywhere how to go those replacement parts. I got the new pros and cons linkage rods, but they did not come with the screw and whatever else goes inside that arm. Do you know how I can get those? Thanks in advance.

      Hello, so your best bet is to buy a screw kit. This will come with every screw that’s used in the heli. Worth having!

    Lost the tiny washer that goes in between the bearing and the thrust bearing. Need to get a new one, but will give it a try without it. What's the worst that could happen? :-)

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      No doubt that it will work but you will have some head swap, that is just there to help space everything properly.

    So when I replace a feathering shaft do I have to worry about the loctite seizing up the bearings? Is that something that I have to be careful of?

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  Před rokem

      Just don’t but a lot of loctite and it will be fine. You can add he loctite to the feather shaft threads with a toothpick if you are very worried about it.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051

      Believe it or not I use AquaCraft Speed Grease. It’s waterproof and sling proof great grease doesn’t get worn away and cheap. Around four dollars for 2 ounces that last forever.

      So I actually have! I’ve seen one other person have that exact issue and it ended up being a bad ESC. If it is brand new, I would contact whoever you purchased it from and tried to go through them or contact OMP directly. I can get you an email and explain your issues show them a copy of your receipt and they would be glad to exchange the parts out and send you new ones. At least that’s what they have done in the past for other issues.
