They have a minimum of 3000 year old writren history and more than 20,000 year archaeological history.

I only visited this hotel for a wedding reception in 2018 and totally agreed that the staff was so friendly and well-experienced to cater to all the guests with their warm smiles 😊

Greetings from Dubai, we are following your videos with great interest. President Lincoln was the US president when Galle face hotel serving guests. Its not only the oldest hotel in Sri Lanka in fact records says oldest star class hotel beyond Suez Canal. U must check out the VIP guest list. Senator Richard Nixon before his presidency. Emperor Hiro Hito, Queen Elizabeth and Duke of Edinburgh. In fact his first car ever still kept in the hotel. He was a Soldier during WW2. I miss my paradise Sri Lanka. This country deserve much more. Hope it will reach it's true potential. Real facts, when Tourism kicked started in Asia late 70s, Sri Lanka welcomed more tourist than Thailand. Civil war, bad politics and corruption kept us at bay. Hope one day we will bounce back with vengeance. Thanks for everything what you have done. You are amazingly human being. Cheers
