Just want to say thank you again for this video. I am working on this, a little every day. It's like everything else, easy when you know what you are doing, and have some experience! Tonight, for the first time, I got both of my cameras working, and both showing up, and also have Chordia showing as well. I ended up buying two cameras, at Best Buy, and paying for them over one year, which is manageable. I tried my camcorder, and older Canon camera, but they just wouldn't work with today's latest technology. And, I'm happy I made that decision because the video quality is great. I got two of the Canon R50 model. The real problem I am having is with sizing now. When I want to size, the whole picture is moving, and I can't crop at all. So, the problem is with cropping. I tried the Alt. key, and dragging, but there must be something I am missing. You don't need to reply to this. I will do some further research and figure it out. But, just so you know, this video of yours is one I watched a long time ago. I kept telling myself that I was going to do this, and it's finally coming true. My calling is to share music with the world. I will be making videos on how to play country piano. It will be a full course on this. There isn't much out there on this so far. Again, thank you for being such an inspiration to me and so many other people!

Wow! So much wow. I set up everything as I followed along. After a ten year teaching hiatus I was asked by a church group to teach video lessons. Thanks to you I think I can. I have a good Logitech Brio webcam and I set up an old Android phone for the overhead. I was truly surprised when the phone looked great in OBS.
Thank you Jane, it’s exactly what I need as a piano teacher currently using zoom and FaceTime and often tearing my hair out trying to show students what to play! I’d found OBS but was overwhelmed. Now you’ve set me up all I have to do is playback your video much slower (so much content!) and jump in! Thank you!

I have the problem Chordies Latency is not always the same and it depends on how many notes I play and how quick I play. I am using a Mac. Do you know this problem or have any recommendation how to avoid these problems?

Hello Jane Thank you for this very excellent and thorough presentation. I am actually a Linux user. Still the segment on OBS setup was extremely helpful. I 'walked in' knowing very little about it. I know a good deal more now about how to set it up, operate it and record. I was going to use kdenlive to record ( and eventually I will ). Yet I think that I might have an easier time working with OBS. The interface does not seem as overwhelming. The things that I lack are the audio interface, the scissors stand for the camera and Chordie. In place of Chordie, I'll have to use something called VMPK ( Virtual Midi Piano Keys ) which is designed for Linux. It can only show piano keys on the screen. That's the extent of its functionality. So I have a little ways before I can get started. Yet, this has been very helpful. Thank you
