Man, you are travelling all over the mother land. Real cool. Be safe brother
Be safe? Really? Tell that to the people in your neighborhood as well.
Safe from what? Did you see criminals anywhere in this VDO? Mxm. Western media propaganda has really messed people's minds.
@@MajorrBison especially Chicago and many of their Cities. Sies ba ya tena waitse!!
@@MajorrBison you know he didn’t mean it like that. You just wanted an argument.
Norwood looks litter free in 2022, I lived here many years ago, it's very close to Houghton, keep it up
In the suburbs people don't walk around their neighborhoods much, they use cars.
The Shwarma Company, food is amazing! Very interesting hearing and experiencing the country through the eyes of a tourist. Lots to see throughout the country, I hope you have plenty of time. Safe travels.
Wow the city is so clean!!
This reminds me of my teen years, I used to ride my bike around Norwood. I grew up in a suburb call Glenhazel not to far from there👍
What was the ice cream shop on the corner? Happy memories ❤️
Cool area Joburg is so awesome 👊🏿
What up brother. I've noticed you like views, which is great. My suggestion is go to Northcliff Ridge in a suburb of Northcliff for better views of the city. Around October it's even more majestic with the city covered in purple from the Jacaranda trees flowers.
You should visit Sandton City (Mall) briefly, then take the Gautrain to Pretoria.. walk to the city centre, then take a taxi (those 'vans') or Uber up to Hatfield Plaza/Square (passed the American Embassy). Check out the University of Pretoria student vibe there, then hit the local Gautrain station there for a ride back to Joburg. Pretoria is our capital city, just about 40 mins minutes north of Joburg in the late afternoon. Best executed on a Friday because a lot of people will be out and about, coming from work as well as getting the weekend going.
9:30 😍😍maaaaaaan I like how that place is made of shipping containers daaaaamn so amazing
I wish you good luck & BEST wish to tours around Johannesburg City, South Africa in joy September of 2022.Thanks you so much for this great video in 2022!
Hi Sly. I hope you are enjoying your stay in South Africa. I last saw you travelling in South America. You should let me show you around.
I wish you safe journey in Johannesburg, South Africa this week in September of 2022.I hope you really love the city in 2022!
Johannesburg is one of the BEST city in South Africa & across the African continent in September of 2022!
Great run of docu-videos, very informative & good to see a brother embracing the culture! Thank you.
It's currently the beginning of summer in South Africa... And yes Johannesburg is huge... But u must also visit other cities and perhaps rural areas
27 Boxes was always full pre-covid
Im from northern europe but i gotta come visit, beautiful, exciting country… and the women are fine as hell🤦🏼♂️
Yes sir thick as peanut butter
I would like to say that even for a local R160 is quite affordable for the meal.
Load shedding organize blackout to preserve electricity
Not really. It's to shed the load on an overburdened electrical power supply...
I've been to Jozi so many times and I never been there or heard of that place 😁.....just to show that Jozi is really big and spreaded out. I'm looking forward returning in January. I'll be going to Zimbabwe for the first time as well. If you have been to Zimbabwe, do you have any recommendadation or to do list for Harare area? Is there a fee to enter the country? As far as I seen on their state department is the passport only to enter. Great video and thank you for sharing.
NORWOOD is next to an another awesome Johannesburg suburb called HOUGHTON. As for MELVILLE which is quite far away from Norwood and Houghton, Melville is more of UJ (University of Johannesburg) living area. Thanks showing us your visit to these places. Love it! 💖💖🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🤝
You are blessed.
Enjoyed the walkabout as Jozi born and bred. Norwood has a great Indian restaurant and if it survived Covid, there is also a great Ethiopian restaurant. Pity these suburbs are so quiet, though both are probably more active in the evenings for socialising
Melville. We used to call it the "Student Village" back in the early 2000's
I wish you good luck & Best wishes to you in joy to tours around Johannesburg City,South Africa September of 2022!
I love Norwood!
The food looks interesting, what was it?
You should visit Lesotho
Enjoy bro, those used to be my streets 👊🏿
Dude, you have probably seen more of Josies than me, and I live here…safe travels.
How long will you be in Jozi? if you open to meet up
dope content as always#100
Damn! Melville was my spot back in the day.
Ok. Good luck.
Come Pretoria to see what a clean developed city is🤫
Thank you for doing downtown johannesburg,it used to be the best city in South Africa, clean and no markets like that.vendors were invited on some weekends and they would have their merchandise of course it was most handcrafted stuff and unique things that you buy from department stores.all Africa is down there which a beautiful thing, they are trying to find a better life for themselves, but not all means well….and yes please be safe!?. I watch your videos and love how you through the city like we used to.Carlton center was the best,I mean upscale!.
This is NORWOOD. It's about 10 drive from Johannesburg CBD. Next to Norwood you have HOUGHTON. 🙏🤝
That's where I grew up.
Be safe, Jo'burg can be tricky.
You walked from Norwood to Melville?!😟
" Wishing you luck "‼️☺️
This brother WALKED to Melville from Norwood. Gahlee 😅
Yo bro I would feel safer walking around there then hear in New York City 🏙️
🤣🤣
Danke, is X you same as German ND Holland
2:57 what was up with the “war machine” truck?😳
I can tell he's a first generation American. Cool
First gen American?
@@blqr3138 yep
How can you tell? 🤔
@@molefemokhine9557
Because I can. It's not a bad thing. Only certain mindset will take it the wrong way
@@mecheleparker9282 ok so you not going to explain how you can? cool. Not taking it the wrong way at all. I understand as humans we are pattern recognizing beings, was just hoping you'll share on such patterns but that's ok if you can't answer.
South Africa is beautiful the sad part is the inequality but better days will come and when that happen South Africa will be one of the hot spots to visit in the globe.
that street with the bars be good at night on the weekend, a lot of women
Hope you go to Cape Town
I also own the last building you ended the video on
Norwood is a very Jewish area. Melville is a hip town, a lot of varsity students hang out there. Johannesburg is only 140 years old, but accounts for 13% of Africa's GDP. In 1895 the city prodiced more gold than the USA. It has the largest main made suburban forest in the world with the best weather and friendly people.
You should travel to other towns and cities in South Africa
there are other developed areas still to be explored in joburg before moving to towns and cities outside joburg. Sandton, Fourways, Midrand, Greenstone, Alberton etc . joburg is big
@@Bellissimo653 yeah, jhb is like 4 times the size of New York City
@@mightyrsa9772 never
Why your going Around South Africa🙊And Where Are you from??👁
Norwood has got a good mall
Not many people around considering it has a population of 5.6m
South Africans generally center themselves around the CBD, malls or shopping centers
Can you use your us debit card
Yes
Wish you luck for what?
Try Maboneng. It’s more arty and buzzing.
thats not jhb south
See how empty the streets are. Never go out at night
Sly they still have Woolworths there, you're probably too young to rember them in the USA
The Woolworths in South Africa is a different company from the Woolworths in America and the one in Australia.
@@truesouth6532 where did you get your info to support that, are you willing to share?
Ive seen people mention this before.. but the logo looks similar.. i need to read up more on this.🤓
Is Johannesburg safe to live
wondering this myself...
do u want to immigrate there?
@@stepupin9076 yes but I couldn't decide

Big portions for not much

Afrikaans is pretty much Dutch. But in a simplified version. Anyone who speak dutch (Netherlands) technically speak afrikaans.
The pronouncing is pretty much the same, just the writing is a bit different.
This language is also spoken in Namibia.
Sa naww
Good water, not that Michigan Flint water...
🤣🤣 don't compare Africa to USA 🤣 🇺🇸 #1
It's not bad.. 160rands
That's upper for upper class 🤣🤣
A bro is it true dat somewhere in South Africa there's a whites only town? If true how da hell did that happen 🤨
It's called Orania and is some distance from JHB.
Built on the site of an old government made town housing workers to build HF Verwoerd Dam, currently gariep dam, once the dam was completed an Afrikaaner community bought the land for a song and moved in. Important points here it's an Afrikaaner town, not a white town. To be considered for residency there you must be Afrikaaner and Christian. No unmarried couples allowed and probably no LGBT people either.
The community has spent 30 years building a town based upon Christian values not racial lines.
It is one of few municipalities running without a deficit and exports agricultural products around the world.
It's status is protected by the RSA constitution.
If you want a similar comparison think about the Amish communities or Hasidic communities in the USA.
Grant Ave. Norwood Halla Back!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Just to give you a heads up, be careful about their tap water 😁😅🤣😂...Not all areas are safe to drink. I've learned that early this year. I came home with a bad case of diarrhea 💩💩💩💩.....The bottle water is a better option.
Actually South Africa is ranked as the 3rd in the world's most cleanest water, the diarrhea was probably our clean fresh water draining out all that dirt you've been drinking in the US.

Definitely it's not our tap water sir, we drink tap water every day and we are one of the few countries in the world where tap water is still regarded safe to drink. Your stomach issues not as a result of our tap water💧🌊
Hey man im low on money can u donate a couple G's?
You'll need luck if you are white
Johannesburg is beautiful but the black people there are really xenophobic I spent 8 years there for really white communities are the best according to my experience
you forgot to mention that you were in the country illegally🤐
@@lizzyndlovu5843 He won't come back
You should have spent more time around Kempton Park, Jeppe, or even as far as Sunnyside. Maybe you would have a visual representation of why they don't like you. For people that call us slaves, you people sure do enjoy the white communities.
For a country filled with illegal migrants... I think we are very lenient... Not Xenophobic enough. As a male, I've only been harrassed by foreigners, in my own country...
@@Shudufhadzo they adore yt people. Most come here for them then they eventually head on out to yt central Europe or North America.
