      Yeah, you can buy the best phone ever and be forced to use only half the features because your battery won't last. I never had so many issues with a phone until s21u, its not even funny how far behind samsung is compared to iPhone optimisation. You don't need this feature on iphone because it lasts 9 hours out of the box!

    • @quantum3406
      @quantum3406 Před 2 lety +2

      @@permol4861 iPhone battery especially the 13s have terrible battery life no matter what application is running. My note 20 ultra lasts all day with about 40% remaining days end. Iphone loses so much battery even when the screen is off. Maybe to you optimisation is a key feature but for me it's the refresh rate and the display and the camera.

    • @permol4861
      @permol4861 Před 2 lety +1

      @@quantum3406 That is bs. My wife has ip 13 pro and its battery life is much better then my s21u and like everyone know that iphone is much better at battery and that s21u has battery issues, you have to disable a lot of settings to achieve a day lasting battery. IPhone is much better at portraits too, and apple pro raw gives amazing editing flexibility. Samsung camera can produce grate results, but not as consistent as iphone. And s21u autofocus with moving subject is very poor indeed. Macro camera is sharper on iphone too. And you don't have to disable anything to use 120hz. the only issue is 10x but it's not that great in s21u too, so not a big deal anyway.

    I love this... but I think when I have the time I'm gonna go onto settings and turn my main setting down to lowest resolution, and 60 hz, and then just create Bixby routines to bump up the res and refresh for apps when I want it. That would save even more battery.

  • @volcalstone
    @volcalstone Před 2 lety +19

    Thanks for the tip but for me I can't go back to 60Hz no matter what. I do use Bixby routines for other things but I won't be doing this mod. I have the S21 Ultra and it already had adaptive refresh rate so that already helps with battery life vs something that is always stuck at 120Hz.
    I would do other things to help with battery life like putting it to a lower resolution or so. I'm already getting around 7 hours of SOT and all day battery life with all max settings with auto brightness on so I'm good.
    The S21 Ultra is a battery champ right behind the 13 Pro Max so adjustments aren't really needed tbh. I have a super fast 45W charger from Samsung as well so a full charge is only like 1.5 hrs or so. The S21 Ultra is only rated at 25W tho while my Tab S7+ is at the higher 45W. My Tab S7+ only takes a little over an hour to fully charge and that has a way bigger battery.

    • @permol4861
      @permol4861 Před 2 lety +4

      I get only 5-6 hours of screen on time on s21u with all settings optimised, its not enough for a full day usage, i have exynos version, maybe that's the case i don't know. But i have to carry around a super fast charger every day. The margin between iPhone is huge iPhone 13 pm does at least 9h, without any BS with settings. My next phone won't be Samsung, its just not there, not flagship experience.

    Why would I want this? When video is playing it's at 60 hz anyways if I am not touching the phone. I like to scroll comments and videos at 120 hz.
