  • After a series of successful light armoured reconnaissance and liaison vehicles, the Ferret Scout Car saw widespread military service from the 1950s right up to the Gulf War in 1990. The Ferret was designed with stealth in mind, able to probe enemy positions. This four-wheel drive vehicle was powered by a reliable 6-cylinder Rolls Royce engine which proved extremely useful if the crew found themselves in a tight spot.

This has to be my favourite military vehicle of all time next to a series II Landrover.

Lovely to see it modelled after all these years, but it's the wrong scale for me I'm afraid: I only do 1/72nd or 1/76th armour. Now that you've got the CAD files, is there any chance of scaling them down at some point? Since it's such a tiny vehicle, you could put two in each box (like some other manufacturers do), maybe with some optional parts for other variants too. There's a command version with a fixed superstructure, and the ATGW vehicle which is just two Vigilants on the sides of the turret plus a stowage box for reloads.

Bloody lovely. OK, so its not as "sexy" as a Tiger. Its not as ubiquitous as a Sherman. It is not even that interesting of a vehicle when put alongside the Austin K2/y Ambulance. Even so, I want it. Duly ordered. Cheers Airfix.

63 éves vagyok, 10 éves korom óta makettezek. Az első perctől kezdve szeretem az airfix maketteket❤.
Most is, valami megmagyarázhatatlan szeretettel.
