What is this rent a soldier doing…. That’s actually stupid for any sort of weapons platform. You want press pad controlled lights. Push down on the pad with your forehand and light comes on, two clicks it goes super bright, 3 clicks it strobes. IR is run of a peq 15 mini. You do not want anything that requires you to take your hand off the rifle forearm to change. My experience, multiple deployments from Africa to the Middle East. By all means though, knock yourself out milsim airsoft larpers
This light is compatible with all surefire pressure pads, and the peq-15 ir illuminator isn’t the best I’d run a stand-alone ir illuminator if I already have a peq-15 budget. Or a mawl.
Probably a compromised design, but seems quite useful especially to save on rail space.
Yeah not bad, I myself stay away from any lights that require me to move my hands on the weapon, so if it had a remote switch connection I’d be sold.

Man's been on multiple deployments and nobody bothered to tell him Surefire has an exceptional array of highly compatible pressure pads.
