The only person world wide who was allowed to use a Vocoder System (except Peter Framton) was ROGER! Saw them end of 80´s here in GER, Bonn Beethoven Hall. More than two hrs. 110 Bpm FUNK for a better day! FUNK never dies.............................................

Heiner Hello 👋 I heard it was *STEVE WONDER * who was was the FIRST entertainer that used a Vocoder. It was not Eric Clapton or Roger Troutman. It was said that Steve used the Talk Box on 1973 episode of Sesame Street singing 🎤 Superstition around 1973 Yes Eric and Roger were great using the Vocoder but come now let's give credit where credit is due - way to due way to go Stevie Wonder December 12,2021

I remember buying the album this tune was on, not too long after hearing it on the radio(the MAIN format by which most people throughout this world, heard all such music). And do you people see all the positive comments from so many people who remember this music(or may be seeing and hearing this for the first time)? This was an everyday REALITY for Black America-before they(the powers that be that ran the music industry)DESTROYED our music with DISCO and RAP/HIP-HOP(which is another story in itself)-and the comments from you all unanimously CONFIRM how great this music was-and still is.
This music(called funk and progressive r&b-as well as all other forms of Black music then)had a POWER-and LIFE to it-to move the listener emotionally-to places I don't think most could even comprehend then-it was DEEP...and foreigners since those days have "SEEN THE LIGHT", and have studied and learned this music, to present it to a whole new generation of young people that weren't even born when this music was new and making history, decades ago...will they take the credit for that which we(Black Americans)created/started, in another 20-50 years? I hope not, because I see "rumblings" to that degree, already surfacing on CZcams, from some of these foreigners, who think they can "appropriate" our music-and not give rightful credit to the people who created this God-blessed music in the first place...
It's a shame also-everybody BUT US is learning our SHIT now-and we as a people somehow have NOT enabled our present generation of Black youth to SEE THE LIGHT and continue this music-which we made happen-off of the "backs" of those who came before us...in other words we(the generation of the 1970s-born in the 1950s-learned and was inspired to continue to make creative music, from ALL of the generations that came before us-since we were first brought to these shores(America)as slaves-then-somehow-motherfuckers went backwards with our music, and instead of wanting to learn how to play an instrument they wanted to grab their nuts and go on stage, talking about SHIT, that as far as I and a whole lot of other Black folks were concerned, was WORTHLESS...and now we have a generation of Blacks that have been CUT OFF from relating to this music-to make it "happen" the way we did-but whites and asians and every other motherfucker on the planet sees the value in what we did-and they now teach their kids this music while they are very young; and by the time they graduate from high school, they know our music better than we do now...this is OUR(Blacks)fault, as well as the whites who ORCHESTRATED things to happen like they are happening now-but as well as they have have studied us, they have a LIMIT to what they can do, with what they have learned from us, because OURS IS NATURAL-IT COMES FROM WITHIN(from God); the other races, though they see the value in, and have emulated what we originated, it will never go as far as we Blacks were/are able to take it, and I and others who were at the beginning of this music called FUNK-JAZZ-ROCK AND ROLL-THE BLUES-GOSPEL know this to be true.
Furthermore our "time" for being the "gods" of this music has been taken from us-which is another story in itself(but you can still see how we "brought it", from seeing the remnant of the original groups-like ZAPP(in this CZcams video, from a live concert that apparently was just four years ago[2018]!), who created this music decades ago and made it the FORCE that it was)-but one day, the prophets of the scriptures assure me, and ALL who are of the truth, that our time will one day come again...because we are at the END OF THIS WICKED WORLD; and the PROMINENCE and GLORY that was accomplished by the former generations in this country has been MADE TO CEASE, in order that the Devil's chosen would prevail-and have their time, which is NOW...it will NOT ALWAYS BE SO,. in "the time to come"...
And for those of you who don't fully understand all of what I've been trying to say, it's because my words are BASED on an UNDERSTANDING OF THE SPIRITUAL LAWS AND RULES OF THE TRUE GOD; an understanding that is NOT GIVEN for the Gentiles to understand(and yes, I am a true Jew)...
p.s.: My relationship with God for the present is NOT what you might think either; and lest one discover me to be a hypocrite, I have cursed God and man for the troubled life I have seen; but my relationship with God is JUST THAT-MINE and not yours; and NO ONE on this Earth can judge me for what I have done-because the story has not been fully told concerning my relationship with God-and how it will end. Nevertheless I have stated what I believe are the facts that I have acquired in my sixty-four years of living on this Earth. And who's to say, that I one day, will continue to curse the creator of all men, who is called God, when as I've said, the story has not been fully told, concerning ALL that will have been said and done, concerning my life, at the end of it's course in this world?
Besides-this world does not know the WAY to God-it hasn't since BEFORE America was founded as a nation(and what I've stated can be SCRIPTURALLY CONFIRMED)-but-ONE DAY this world will know-and ALL will be made KNOWN AND CLEAR to this WHOLE WORLD, as to who the true God is-and what is his will for all men. 6-20-22.

Also God's way is to sometimes promote the small or the obscure to greatness-as in the old saying "BIG THINGS COME IN LITTLE PACKAGES"! What I'm saying about this is-out of a small town called Dayton, Ohio, a handful of funk music groups exploded on the world scene-and forever changed the course of popular music-and history! And no, I am not from Dayton-but like so many African-American youth-as well youth of all races, including the Hispanic population of this country, the funk was to us, what hip-hop is to this generation; it "turned us out"; we fell in love with it-and we "ate, drank and slept" this music-we understood it, like no other peoples on this planet (I'm not necessarily talking about the whites now, but my people-and even the Hipanic population, from what I remember). It came from the loins of Black America, and we gave the world a new music called "funk"-that reverberates still, even to this day, in the newer and younger generations of musicians who "see the light" and have seen fit to embrace this music-and make it their own!
Unfortunately the great body of the movement has waned; the originators are getting old-some have passed on now-but the SPIRIT which gave birth to this music lives on-in the new and younger generation of those who have been inspired to take the mantle and carry on that which was started over half a century ago-the MOVEMENT is not what it used to be(then again, neither is jazz, or rock or soul or the blues), yet if one takes the time to look-you will find, these forms of popular music still live on, in the present, new and younger generations of musicians who somehow, have seen the "light" and are "converts" to the music-though they as a body do not comprise the "movement" as it used to be; the same as whites(and to a lesser degree, people of other races)continue to "heed the call"(for the present, new and younger generations)to play that which is known as European classical music!
And I still maintain-you have to "be about it" in order to fully understand and play this music(if it is for you to do); like a RELIGIOUS CONVERSION, this music, once you hear it-it has to get "up under your skin" and begin to move upon you from the inside out, in a WONDERFUL WAY, transforming the lives of they who have been captured by it's power; am I making sense to you, people? I hope so-I'll leave it at that for now...6-21-22.

Do you remember? I think everybody tried to Deejay and I was one of them . I’ll collaborate with my twin nephews and their friends would join in. Dancefloor would just get them to their feet and keep them there. I’d made this record the climatic part of the night.. And that’s when you come alive on the mic .. ya’ll don’t hear Oo oo .. Do you want to party? And they ain’t no party like a west coast party.. And on and on sometimes we would go past the time to quit.. Yeah we talking early eighties..Now it’s just a memory but a good one.. Rest In Peace Roger.. LB June 2022

@@oranperkins5807 Blasphemy. Dead wrong. It always matters what you're doing. Stop with the satanic lies. Get Thee Behind Me. Example: Jesus says IF YOU LOVE ME, OBEY MY COMMANDMENTS. So here goes this dude to church. Younger fella. Age 21. Student at the local university. Good looking guy. Has a campus reputation of being masterful with the ladies. He's too hot to trot, too sweet to be sour. All that, and a bag of chips. He sees a pretty young thing at church, and immediately wants to bang. He calls himself Christian. Got baptized. Filled with power of Holy Ghost. Speaks in tongues. And occasionally gets his praise on in the middle of service. Chicks dig him. He's single and loves to mingle. So Ruff, So Tuff out here, baby. He's been told JESUS WITH HIM EVERYWHERE. DONT MATTER WHAT HE DO. So he lives his life. Doing what he do. It don't matter, Jesus is with him. So, you know, playa-playa be bedding all the baddies in church. It don't matter, Jesus is there. Playa now experimenting with dudes who look like ladies. Why? Jesus always with him, it don't matter. Dude buys a Jesus is Popping T Shirt. He sells crack and weed on the side. He's even good at it. Really makes that 💰money. Don't matter. Jesus be with him. Is thus what you think? Got news for ya pal. That dude is carrying Holy Ghost with him, right? Making Jesus within, bang all these baddies. Jesus Within making all these drug sales? Perish the thought, fool. Jesus ain't with all that. Jesus ain't Popping like that. Right? There go your theology, all up in flames. Lotta people "live they life" at the juke joint Saturday Night, then roll into church, same outfit, Sunday morning. But Jesus be with them, right? Wrong. Stop lying.
