This tutorial was absolutely perfect! I’ve only been crocheting for about a month and I was able to follow along. I’m obsessed with my cozy! Thank you!!
I’m so happy to hear this. I actually did not know how much I loved cosies with a bottom till I made one and now it’s the only kind I use so hopefully you will be using yours as much as I used mine. Have a great weekend.
So nice!!! Going to make this!!
So glad you like it. I think I should post on instagram just how many I made of these! I have a huge stack lol.
Love the fact that tour stutch marker is a bobby pin 😬 i am travelling through June and keft my stitch markers at home. I have been firced to use clip on clithes pins which are bulky. The Walmarts in the different towns do not have stitch markers ... I am getting some bobby oins til i get back home. Great tip. 👍🌞🌞
LOL yes my video for the cowl you can see i used a binder clip! 😂😂 I hope you had a great time travelling!
I appreciated that, too! Being totally new to crocheting, I didn't even know about stitch markers and only had the yarn & crochet hook, but I'm the sort of gal who always has bobby pins around somewhere, so that saved me another trip to the store to find stitch markers before I could get started😅
Thanks for this🙏 I'm brand spanking new to crochet and really appreciate that you have the crochet instructions on the screen as you're explaining what to do in the video, plus you have a very pleasant, relaxing voice that I quite enjoyed listening to☺
One question: If I wanted to use only double crochet for the sides, as opposed to _both_ single & double, would it not be effective as a cozy? I'm trying to adapt this to make a (rather large) mug cozy and am worried I'll run out of yarn before the cozy's big enough if I use both types of crochet stitches😓
The pattern on your blog, has the rows ending with 2dc, for rows 3, 4 and 5. Is the pattern correct? From the video it looks like you are working only sc for rows 1-6.
Thank you so much! I checked the pattern and you are correct it should be sc. I have changed and updated the blog. I really appreciate you letting me know!
I'm going to be using your patter to make Red Solo cup Plushies in memory of Toby Keith
That sounds super cute!
I'm new to crocheting and i absolutely love this! Quick question if i want to make this a little bigger how would I do that? Would i still put 6 Single stitches or would i put 8 in the first stitch? Thank you!
I would add more stitches after the last increase round. Keep in mind that what ever you add will increase again each round. so 2 would become, 4, 6, 8, etc. You probably only need at most 2-3 sts. hope this helps :)
Do you have a written copy of the pattern? If so, where could I find it. Thank you.
I love this pattern and I did one in blue.
I do thanks for asking! www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1545344477/crochet-cup-cozy-pattern-with-bottom-the and of course it is free to read on my blog as well. :)
Hi, is this for a size medium drink? Like a medium iced coffee at Dunkins?
I'm not sure how big a Dunkin's is I'm in Canada - I think it would fit a medium though usually here anyways it is the height of the drink that changes :)
Do these fit Dutch bros and Starbucks cups?
I really don't know about Dutch bros but Starbucks yes :)
