Can chalk that death at the beginning as another example of the saying "Its better to be lucky, than good in R6."
One way you can look at it if your a newer player, when on defense just think about how you have attacked before with your team, and what places you push when attacking certain objectives. If you know the most common places that people push you hold down those areas and eventually you’ll just naturally start holding certain push points for rooms.
“Planting the bomb is super rare in ranked” man that’s the saddest thing I could’ve heard. It’s the entire point of : Ranked. It’s bomb for a reason… but I’ll sit back for a 6th year and wait till my teammates hear “15 seconds” to push the plant play. Like that makes sense right? Let’s only do the objective when we are out of time.

Worry about your own play not your teammates' play. Everyone is their rank for a reason if you were better you'd carry yourself out of that rank. If you're getting bad teammates you're probably just as bad
