The best advice I've ever gotten for farming tigrex is "if he is not currently charging at you, assume he will be charging at you" and this build takes that to the logical end point and I love it.
I mean counters are your bread and butter with LS if you dont play for counters you will cart every time.

I just tried with he's doing I call it "amateur attempting to speedrun tigrex FC LS" then I lost horribly but hey atleast I got 500 dmg with the slash on a kulu yaku sword
It more like a meme build. I don't think it gonna be as effective against other monsters.
@@ianal0028 actually now that I started practicing it, it's actually really effective against monsters that u know the exact pattern to especially if they rush, like Odogaron, Rathalos, devil, ruiner Nergigante, it's just if u know the monsters attack pattern and how fast you can react to emotions can make the build incredibly over powered

I think what I found most impressive is how you had the perfect angle to get the double head hits from the iai spirit slash. Well done peppo! The god of LS.
I have to wonder if Frostcraft and Special Sheathe were designed at the same time. The synergy they have is _astounding._
They both came out in iceborne if I remember correctly, so I would assume they were created with some thought in mind.

This playstyle is so counterintuitive, you have to really adjust your positioning to akward angles and have to hold back on that juicy helmsplitter. I couldn't play like this. Props, Peppo
Yeah, frostcraft builds completely change a weapons playstyle
I started longsword specifically for this build. Was easy to build a Luna Blade and pwn with this easy build. Super fun too. I like mobility classes, and this made longsword way more mobile and more samurai like, helmsplitter is kinda lame tbh. I never use it.
Honestly a build like this is perfect for Tigrex with how aggressive it is.

Okay this is unreal. I suck at using LS but guess it's time to give it a try.
And the quality of the video is incredible, smooth and sharp. I don't know how they doing it but I bow down before TDS
LS can be a ton of fun once you've gotten comfortable with it. Granted i hadn't played since Freedom Unite so I'm getting back into the swing of things, but picking LS back up was super easy.

The LS itself wasn't that great, it about the user himself. But I don't think LS Frostcraft gonna do you any good when use it against the monsters other than Tigrex though. People just use it for meme.

It's pretty cool but it's still a meme build. You need to have a pretty predictable monster focusing only on you to make it work and you can't miss a counter or you lose your one level of spirit gauge.

I just started Monster Hunter World a week ago and finished the base game
Videos like these make me question whether I have even the slightest idea on how to use the longsword
like the jumps, the lunges, the charging. I don't know how to do anything like that
after every video I try to replicate it but fail

Fatalis armor is great but idk why greatsword and longsword users don't all use Velkhana Y with 1 Frostfang
Because this playstyle ridiculously hard to pull of as a casual player. And in multiplayer settings it's a bit more difficult because you kinda have to rely on the monster focussing on you a lot in order to keep your red gauge. It's a lot more micromanagement if you aren't alone.
Damn teach me your ways hahaha! I would love to use LS like this on all my hunts.

if you have the armor pieces you can kinda tell what decos he put in based on the skills he has in the build
gonna tell ya ahead of time you gonna need 3 Attack+4 decos

How can i turn on that white-silhouette when a monster is covering my character? Sometimes i've got no idea where i am and it's really frustrating. Thanks in advance.
Under the game settings, when you're actually in the game (not main menu) there is an option labeled Player Silhouette Display. Once you click on it you should see 4 settings: off, faint, normal and distinct. Take your pick and good luck hunting.
P.S. I also learned about that option from watching these guys and it makes it SOOOO much better.

And here i am dealing only 300 with tenderized part when i ahev frost craft. And im pretty sure i have max lvl attc max lvl crit eye and crit boost.
But probably the agitator? My build maxes only attack and crit eye crit boost.
Probably that's why it deals less damage

If you hit a counter on iai slash the sword doesn't lose level, so if you hit them always it will always stay red
