The Peugeot 3008 blends the best qualities of a hatchback, a people carrier and a 4x4. The looks are a step in a new direction for Peugeot, as is the interior, which is beautifully built and feels like a premium product. It's practical, too, as the split tailgate is very convenient and the cabin is well thought out. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
when I bought a 307 four years ago I sat on a 3008 for the first time and I thought "what a dream car!"
now, I'm looking to buy a 3008 and I can't wait to put my hands on this wheel and hit the road!
I've seen one of these last day. Beautiful.
It has a good quality, strong body, stability, strong engines, and perennial cars
The versatile tail gate and flexible boot impress and so does the cockpit.
the first car registered in my country, Italy, it was a Peugeot Type 3. Here in Italy is considered the best french brand (also Citroen).
Rear passenger space is actually very good in this car. I'm tall and I fit. I can't for example in a Kia Sportage/Hyundai ix35 and a lot of other cars.
The exterior styling is questionable, but the interior is really nice, it is most important to me.
Like ever, fantastic dude, well done,3008 is the best whatever named, cross, suv etc is so.... Out of this world.. Out of the present.
We always have a dedicated aux cable for our 3008,it’s a 2013 and some of the plastics do rattle a bit so we always have my phone or iPad on the aux quite loud
This is my father`s car and he let me drive it! I like this car, but there is one big problem - It get break very often and it need a lots of money for repairs. Also you should be very gentle with pedals
It was about time you reviewed my car!!! :) I liked it! Mine does not make any parasite noises, though.... so far, at least...
Watch out for the inevitable glass sunroof leak - my 2016 3008 Allure model developed an internal leak from the sunroof after 4 and a half years. Very expensive to fix (glass 'inevitably' breaks on removal) !!!!!
...it also had the infamous Peugeot 'clutch whoop' issue - complete clutch replacement needed. Expensive. My next car was not a Peugeot.
Any chance of testing the 2014 Face-Lifted Hybrid4 version and see how good it works and if the build quality has improved ?? !!
I love my 2011 diesel model:
I occasionally sleep in it (not normal I know) I carry tons of Scuba and camping gear in it.
I carry my Avon Rover inflatable tender and outboard motor in it.
It's great on fuel...55+ mpg.
It's low on depreciation....£4600 paid in 2016. 40K miles later offered £2400 on WBAC Feb 2018.
One injector fail + full service to pass MOT approx. £600.
98,000 miles and (new battery yesterday £95) still looking and feeling good for another 50K.
New cambelt on Peugeot recall fitted by main Dealer FOC. (helpful)
…..One of the best cars I ever owned (30+ since 1971) I'm touching wood here, obviously.
do u ever have to fold down all the seats to carry 1 soft bag, like mat did at 0:21
I've driven quite a bit with these 3008s and I felt like it is a comfortable car. Some things about it are a bit strange like the way you sit in it, but it does feel much more grown up than a C4 Picasso :)
Good review Mat ! Thanks !
This and the C4 share the same platform 😂
I can't wait to get one, next year when I get my first year no claims. Although, I wouldn't say the leg room is an issue, looks like there did plenty!
Did you get it?
is the panaromic roof fixed or operable ? can you open and close via an electric switch on the 2014 models ?
I have a similar rattling sound in my Citroen C4 Picasso, the 3008 sister car, but only after 3 years.....
like Matt's review. Keep up the good work.
@lffit Of course we like them. I own a French car. The only reason Fords and Vauxhalls (GM) sell better is because they are generally considered to be a little more reliable
Best reviewes.
Peugeot 2008 , is much more Romy in the back. And much better to look at on the outside and inside the car.
Bought a 3008 today with 117000 on it . Watched reviews on the car beforehand . andguess what its one. Drove it home 160 miles sweet as a nut very impressed . Ps no squeaky dash either
The noise at @2.11 (the rattle) is what I have in mine same spec as this allure 3008 (14) .. How do I get rid of it
Great cars
Only one question and its about auto gearbox reliability. Is it good?
Love mine but wish it had 6th gear as at 70mph and 3500 rpm it sounds strained. Was used to a 2 litre Picasso so maybe I just need to get used to it. When you hit 30mph it will cruise happily in 5th Gear so why such a big gap upwards.
i like ur review
The build quality of this car is state of the art (in its class at least), doood -_-
Is the 1.6 diesel any good for towing a caravan?
Hello there. I have bought one of these for 4 weeks ago and i would like to ask how do you experience the gear shift? Does your car has good engine power? I had a motor stop for 2 weeks and then i had to change the chain.
Hello i will like to ask ..do u still have the car and is it reliable ? I want to buy 1.6 diesel automatic ..thank u
I loved my 3008! To bad it was a lease car that I had =(
My parents had one of these and they said it was one of the worst cars to drive. The interior is nice but things like the digital display got stuck halfway
Yes, the rattle ain't normal for 3008. I also know 2 of them and either one rattles. Cockpit is best in its class.
Try to review the new Tiguan!!! :P
This car is very beautiful with preference without leather seats! It was sad that Peugeot 208 was not like the 3008. It was perfect if they could inspire design of 3008 on 208. 208 is a little disappointed.
Where is that dealership you got that peugeot from?
Don't worry, we Europeans feel the same way about US cars. That's why we mostly build our own or get them from Asia. The new Citroens look really good I must say. So does the Peugeot 508. I'd say French cars look stylish .. US cars don't. They just look graceless.
0:53 - 0:57, was it folded or does it really go that long?!
You really think every car has a rattling sound that the one in this video? Come on!
My Mom has this Car Too but its black the rims are diffrent and the inside of the car is diffrent too. also im From Greece
It looks well iffy from the front in my opinion
I like it.
i have to admit, good job on the interior, Peugeot...
I like the boot configuration
I owned two Peugeot (a 206 from 2000 and a 207 from 2007) and I drove a 308 SW for several days. Quality was not a strong of any of the cars, mainly the 206. But I was amazed with how bad the 308 was inside, only having 10.000 kms.
Plus, the gear box sucks hugely!
You tried to adjust the seat down? That's a common mistake to do with in SUV-style vehicles.
I like it
the 1.6 turbo is the best choice for this car
I sold my bmw and bought 3008 .Far away with quality of bmw but perfect boot enough space cheaper to run . If you don’t push to hard I do not think it will break
What about the rattling sound? Isn't it annoying, or isn't there any?
Spartan Lion I do not have that, but bow i have a gearbox noise
Peugeot = Matrix ...... Numbers and cars!
Don't get one of these if you're planning on having any babies as the compartments in the footwells render the isofix points all but useless. Also the dashboard rattle is real and incredibly annoying. We have some tissue paper permanently living in thearea where the sat nav folds down to dull it. Classy.
@aspiringdrummer17 yeah but, why are they sold in such numbers, and it's not only in France, if they were no good?
Ps my neighbour has a new Opel; which has spent weeks in a garage; I once bought my son an Opel Tigra what a terrible car, love my Ford Focus and equally the 206 we had in Australia.
I feel really so annoyed with the sounds coming from interior plastics .. I don;t know If I can fix it
Mahmoud Gamal try to stick soft things beetween parts to stopthem rubbing ech other
The rattle isn't normal for the 3008 so I hope carbyer will comment on what the dealer said about it. I know 3 who has had 3008 for a long time already and no rattle in their cars because that is not up to the great quality standard that Peugeot is aiming at and have surely succeeded. Another thing is the body roll "issue" that really isn't there even on the entry level model, a Golf has more body roll than the entry level 3008 but it is of course depending on what car you are comparing against.
Hey guys, quick question, what engine world you go for? Petrol or diesel? Thanks 👍
A diesel u get more mpg
Look at Mr.Carwow when he was a kid.
How can Matt compare a Audi R8 and a Peugeot 3008?
Simple. On an Audi you replace the engine as often as you do oil changes on Peugeot.
Because he is a fucking guy who is only there to talk bad about the car
This's my dreams but I'm poor what can I do
Decide to get one and work for it as a target. Think deeply.
Get a fca approved finance.
U will have it nothing is impossible 👍👍👍😊
Hight pôr o volante á esquerda
Finally, there’s the matter of depreciation, because Peugeots aren’t known for having strong residual values.
Yooka: That’s badge snobbery! I’m complaining to Laylee about this! Laylee! Laylee! Laylee! Laylee!
What audi did he say it was like?
Alot of time im 14 and my mom had one it caused alot of incidents
Did that car just fitted a Entire golf club
If little Mat hasn't much legroom in the back then it must be tiny...
I'm 6 foot and Its have a lot of leg room at the back.If the person in front of you is very tall then it may be problematic. My father is 6.3, and i can fit behind him but its really limit. The car's space is really good, one of the most spacious
kevin heming I’m 5”9 and there is plenty of room and storage placed in the back,it has air vents,12v socket and big door bins, arm rest and some storage under the floor
is it me or does it remind me of the honda crv from the side?
Omg MAT WATSON
Dont like the look bu I like the interior like with a lot of Peugeot's.
All cars have rattling its what u call going over bumpy roads
This car is for the sort of person with huge ears with hair sprouting out of them
I too have bought some of those snacks from Sainsbury's BUT I PREFER THE CHOCOLATE CRISPY ONES.
it really goes that long rofl. :)
carwow
as like as you
@Mik5OO top gear lol!
It's actually called the three double O eight
I've just bought this car after learning to drive in a Renau
One bad thing is the electrics on a pug are terrible
Go to www.reliabiltyindex.com and check for yourself this particular Peugeot has top score.
If you have massive ears with hear sprouting out of them, then this is the car for you!
peugeot 3008.....mpv in disguise.....now you revealed their secret,.....they're not happy :P lol
NISSAN QASHQAI is best
looks weird, expensive looking chrome wing mirrors teamed with very cheap looking black plastic under the headlights, whose idea was that?!
Was the idea of Archibald Pierre L'Oréal
R8
oh! u forgot to mention that the car breaks down every 2 days!!!
superstan121 why?
Build quality? It's a French car, what did you expect?
ah French cars! the English don't like them, but they sell them in the millions; they prefer American cars built by Ford and GM.
Said by an open minded person who just happens to be a Ford fan!
i have this car but than pink
no jk its just white
I have one of these. The biggest problem with the car isn't actually the vehicle itself it's the Peugeot dealer network who will basically tell any lie to avoid doing or paying anything, and they do something they usually manage to make a mess of it. They know their cars are - basically - indefensible cheap crud and don't bother to defend them.
The car itself is cheaply made, poorly engineered, uncomfortable, horrible to drive and bland as bland can be. They really are as bad as Top Gear crowd make out.
I disagree, very pleased with ours. I’m a automotive engineer (not a garage mechanic) and think it’s not bad. I suppose I could pay a load more for some Dull VAG box.
Geez. I can only imagine a dad driving this, and as a BMW, MB, Audi, Porsche, Volvo, etc etc passes him by at excellent driving speeds, the dad can see the remains of his self esteem and excitement in driving going away with those cars...maybe thinking "I miss the old days when I wasn´t automatically overriden by the wife in a car decision, and who says that we should drive a fugly functional crap to haul all the stupid crap kids nowadays "need"...
@benny5825 R8
No money..see only
