Hi Tim thanks for all the useful info. Your videos have helped me figure out a lot on my m1008
I know this is off topic but I figured you may know so I'll ask anyways, so I've got a 1938 Chevy truck with a 216 straight 6. It's a 6 volt system with original Delco Remy generator. I'm trying to figure out how to easily convert it to 12v. Trying to figure what alternator to use, it's a 5/8 belt, it takes different brackets too. Then I need to know how to wire it up. Can you help? Don t see much info online for this conversion. Thanks!

Thanks for watching. To swap over to 12 volts will include lights, battery, starter and the charging system. I will do a video about wiring up an alternator with a relay so it will work in an old generator vehicle.

@@timsteachablemoments1786 you know if I could figure out why the 6 volt system stopped charging I'd just keep that. I'm just not sure what to do.
