I saw them at the El Rey theatre in L.A. and they tore the roof off! The absolute joy and enthusiasm that Matt had while singing and while listening to his band was contagious. It was indoor fireworks.

Why would Mexicans be offended by this? Mexicans got mariachi and banda from European polka. All the instruments are European as well. if you know your history there have been multiple European migrations into Mexico, especially after wars. Look at Mexico city with all the German and Russian immigration.

Offended! Hell no baby I love this guys I wish I could see them playing next to a Mexican mariachi... I was born and raised in Durango, Mexico and let me tell you that we adopt and love any music that's good and different like the music mariachi el Bronx plays. A lot of now famous and retired singers have started in Mexico (Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, tizziano ferro, etc) because they now how we like diversity in music we love good music any music not just regional, mariachi or Banda.
