- I could not stop reading this book. I read all 571 pages in 24 hours. I loved it that much. I went into it thinking it was going to be a Twilight retelling, but to me it was more than that. It had its own story. It had action. It had a bunch of things that (while obvi a vampire story can be predictable) I didn’t call. The characters had their own voices. There was sass, and mystery, and an appropriate amount of “Oh come on Grace, how can you not figure this out?!” That was what made it fun to just binge and enjoy. The chapter names and pop culture references also just added into the whole experience that reading this book was.
⭐️SYNOPSIS ⭐️
My whole world changed when I stepped inside the academy. Nothing is right about this place or the other students in it. Here I am, a mere mortal among gods…or monsters. I still can’t decide which of these warring factions I belong to, if I belong at all. I only know the one thing that unites them is their hatred of me. Then there’s Jaxon Vega. A vampire with deadly secrets who hasn’t felt anything for a hundred years. But there’s something about him that calls to me, something broken in him that somehow fits with what’s broken in me. Which could spell death for us all. Because Jaxon walled himself off for a reason. And now someone wants to wake a sleeping monster, and I’m wondering if I was brought here intentionally-as the bait.

The reason i got it was because i read an article saying it was the twilight of this generation and that the rights were already bought by Universal to make it a movie before it was even bough.(i found out on the day it was published)

Oh my goodness you are the cutest! I just finished the 3rd one and I had to find a way to help my freak out of the ending and I'm so glad I found your channel! However I have to say I'm glad I came across it withoout knowing the headline fact that it's like twilight. I'm definitely a fan of twilight but I had a hard time reading them since I didn't read them for the first time until after the movies came out. I have an obsession for vampire books too but I came across this series more for the fantasy and romance and I'm not leaving. Tracy Wolff is my new author obsession! Thanks for the review. Watched and read Twilight in 09 when I was 7-8ish and became obsessed as well as all the other girls in my grade. I heard this book was great and that Universal picked up rights for this!
