Man, dealing with Vocal Blender and which always sounded cheap and synthetic, and Pitch Monster that still sounds symthetic and grainy (but has cool-ish sound design fratures at least) this is just so refreshing. I would use the hecks out of this one
In the future, there could be an AI that analyzes how someone sings and then predicts how it would truly sound if they sang at a different pitch. Instead of simply re-pitching the original recording, it would generate a new sample based on the given information. I'm looking forward to that technology becoming available.
The only issue is as far as I can see the pitch can only be shifted in semitone increments.. so it can't be used at all for pitch bending, which is the primary way these plugins are used
how do you send programmed midi into metapitch in Logic Pro??? Normally, effects plugins have a side-chain option in the upper right corner of the GUI, but metapitch doesn't. How do I send a prewritten midi part to a track that also has a vocal wave file on it?
Please put MetaPitch on the audio channel and another instance on the Midi channel and then group them together from within MetaPitch. Please ensure they are both set to robot mode.
@@PictureMeFree i cannot figure this out, when i create a midi track from external midi it doesn't have an option to add the plug in on to the track. I can't find any info anywhere on how to make this work in logic
Correct. It's for changing pitch as a creative effect, blending as a low octave or a harmony, etc. In theory, you could use it in a way to correct pitch. But it would be a TON of work with manually adjusting every single note of a vocal with automation. It's not meant to tune vocals.
Is this not for creating vocal harmonies based on a selected key? If not that's a huge missed opportunity. I know you can edit the midi or whatever but thats a separate step we shouldn't have to do.

Is there no way to turn off the note snap for smooth pitch bends? That's what I love about QuikQuak Pitchwheel
