  • Join me in this video to experience the unboxing of the Corsair H100i (white) and learn how to install it in your computer. I am using an AM4 chipset but the installation process is largely the same for any configuration, with the primary difference being the bracket used.
    Make sure you check out your case for the radiator clearance and mounting hardware before installing to ensure this AIO (all-in-one) will work for you!

      It’s dumb because to install the fans this direction the RGB ring is hidden. Corsair should have provided QL120 or a proprietary fan with the RGB ring on the other side. I’ve just gotten this cooler and still trying to decide which direction to face them be it pretty versus functional.

    • @CarrotBBQ
      @CarrotBBQ Před 3 lety

      @@derpdiggler7619 I had/faced the same problem, they should have the ring faced the other side or make it so that we can do either side by enabling us to remove the RGB Ring (like those RGB halo products). But anyway, as per instruction and youtube videos, I have decided to use this as intake even though the RGB ring faces the other side (Exhaust Fan Direction).

    Hi, do I need a commander pro in this cooler? I've previously buy this pump and when I installed it the radiator didn't light up though the two fans light up. I don't know what the problem and I've already tried to switch my sata cable but still same result. (sorry for my bad english?)

    Great video, however you mounted the radiator incorrectly, the tubes should be at the bottom not the top, this also the liquid inside to natural flow down and collect for the pump. Instead of the pump trying to pull liquid from the bottom to the top.

    My pump makes a weird noise and it’s quite loud, but after running a game for about 20 minutes the volume gets lower. I’m worried this might be an issue with installation but it’s keeping my ryzen 7 3700x at a steady 39 degrees idle and about 60 when gaming under 45 percent load. When I close a game it’s silent, but when I reopen it’s very loud for a little.

      @Zalagar619 Před 3 lety +1

      Each of the fans have two plugs, one for power and one for RGB. There is 4 plugs the come off of the pump that you run to those connectors from the fans, Plug the Power Connectors from both fans into the power connectors that come from the pump. Then there will be one more wire on both fans you plug into the other cable that comes from the pump, with 2 RGB connectors. So in total there should be 4 Connectors from the 2 fans that get plugged into the wires coming off the Pump. Then You will have a Sata Connector and 3 or 4 pin pump connector. The Sata connector needs to be plugged into a Sata Power Plug from your Power Supply. The 4 Pin plug will plug into the AIO Pump Header on your Motherboard. Lastly you will need to connect the Micro USB 90° Connector into the pump and run it down and plug it into a USB Header Slot on The Motherboard. Hopefully this helps a little.

Asking because when I go into my BIOS I see that the AIO says N/A but I got the same message as you when I plugged my cable into the AIO port so I plugged it back into the cpu fan spot... I just have this feeling my AIO isn’t pumping the water but idk, everything starts up fine.

    • @TechItEasy0
      @TechItEasy0  Před 4 lety +1

      In my NZXT case, it's better as an intake simply because that's how the case's radiator mount is configured. In general, radiators do better as intakes because this is the coolest air they have access to (since if it were an exhaust, the air would be hotter)

This is actually what I want to do since I have RGB fans & we wouldn't see them if they were sandwiched behind, however I noticed alot of other videos have it that way instead of yours. • @TechItEasy0
      @TechItEasy0  Před 4 lety

      Plug it into the pump fan. On bootup, you will likely get an error message. In your motherboard's settings there will be a way to ignore the CPU fan header. The reason you want to use the pump header is because the motor gets instructions based on that, and you don't want your water pump running at 2000 RPM (mine idles around 4500 RPM or so)

    hi, Love this video!!! im thinking of buying this to cool off the 9900k from intel, but i have the lian li dynamic case. I bought 6 fans, but im going to use those as intakes for the side and bottom. Do you think having this as a exhaust, on the top of my case, would make my cpu temps higher?

    • @TechItEasy0
      @TechItEasy0  Před 4 lety +1

      Corsair recommends using it as an intake, so if you can orient 4 of those fans you bought as exhaust with the H100 as intake it'd be a decent balance... HOWever, I don't think it'd be a huge deal for temps to set it up as you mentioned, the difference would probably be very small.

  • @MokeMilly
    @MokeMilly Před 4 lety

    Any reason why having the fans on intake is optimal? Then aren’t you pulling the hot air from the radiator into your case instead of sending it out? Just curious before I install one wrong

    • @TechItEasy0
      @TechItEasy0  Před 4 lety +1

      Best answer is, it depends. I did it as an intake because that's how both my case manufacturer and Corsair said to do it. I really think it's fine to do it the other way as well.

      1 is the radiator, 2 is the fan, and 3 is the mounting bracket, and I think you would just thread the screws made for the fans through this sandwich. Let me know if that works!
