- Professor Sir #VictorUwaifo, took the country, the continent and the world by storm, with his own form of the #AfricanDance music known as #highlife. He was and still is one of the true giants of Nigerian music in particular and African music in general, standing as a reminder of an age and a time in Nigeria's history that was full of creative hope.
He is interviewed by #CharlesAniagolu. Produced by #NissiGabriel - Zábava
May his soul rest in peace

As far as I am concerned Sir Victor Uwaifo is one of the most talented, gifted, hardworking and successful Nigerians. Apart from being a musical genius with international repute he has also excelled in many other endeavors and facets of life. Kudos also to the interviewer for his professionalism and efficiency. His command of English language, articulation and fluency are remarkable.
Loving your comment! And his son, Andre Vibez is an amazing producer also!
Another great Nigeria one is suddenly gone. May His Soul Rest in Peace.✝️
A Living Legend.... Grew up with his music in Ghana....
That is amazing. Do you know his son is the producer of the Global hit song: Calm Down by Rema?
The late meastro itself, i was privileged to be one amongst thousands that you mentored. Your creativity still inspired me till this days. Continue to rest in peace.
Your comment is amazing. Do you know his son is the producer of the Global hit song: Calm Down by Rema?
@@WSRTCompany I know about but him (Andrew vibz) but never met him. I worked with the ekassa, akwuete, mutaba, titibiti meastro back in the late 90s, the late legend was very much private when it comes to his immediate family members. People hardly know any of his children in person.
@@netecoDIY You're right. He was pretty private. We interviewed his Son. Most people don't know late Sir Victor Uwaifo is his dad.
Great job Arise....God bless you, Please keep the good work going. Our legends should be celebrated when they are still alive not when they have gone.
Very true. Do you know his son is the producer of the Global hit song: Calm Down by Rema?
Living legend..your contributions to the world are much appreciated 🙏
Today computer musicians learn something from the legend , who have lasted for five decades still fresh and innovative at the age of 78 years .
True that
You are the pride of the Binis

My dad would be happy to see this if he were still in this world.
Still always looking sharp as ever, energetic and classy.Young musicians of today in nigerian should learn alot from this treasure of a man and his true authentic music. Proud to be a nigerian.
Great job Charles, this is how we should be celebrating our legend; during their life-time.

This man is not a musician, he is an INSTITUTION. What a talent!
We agree with you absolutely!

My utmost regard for the legend .Prof.(Sir)Victor Uwaifor. I grew up listening to him and his music. The creator of the double guitar in my eye. The very best ever. He is our nigerian treasure. May God bless and continue to give you long life for us.

God bless edo state with everything on this earth but i don't know were we get it wrong why is our ladies and men of this generation is not moving forward in anything them do we believe in Europe may god still bless us.
Infact is a bit strange, but my own opinion to your question , where do we get it wrong?. If I may say don't u think this generation are embracing so much of the western system..?because our foreparents never take it importantly, just like now..
That's a real legend in the true sense of the word.
Absolutely. Do you know his son is the producer of the Global hit song: Calm Down by Rema?
Let the wise listen from the maestro. Every real musician must learn to play an instrument.
This is absolutely wonderful
Legend of our time! Still going strong! We wish you more years of bringing joy to homes
Professor Sir, Victor Uwiafo plays gutta like Late mama Rosetta Therpe, USA. This man is a real genius.

Father of all
Mmmmmm. I call him d gods of Edo music
DO YOU REMEMBER ME....YOU SHOOK MY HANDS...WHEN I WAS A BABY
what an introduction?
Everything Nice
There's one thing am not comfortable with about him saying dt he didn't have an existing musician/s then dt influenced his musical career. In life, somebody must have doing a thing that u might fancy and decide to go into dt discipline. I'm an artist today, and it was my art teacher in sch then dt influenced me. Fela was influenced by some great stars b4 him so also some great musicians today.
mr correcter shup up your smelling mouth dat is y you are poor and have family problems idiot enemy of progress fool
How could he not ask him about Mammy Water, what is the point of this interview?
I tire. I was waiting for that.
The interview is incomplete
Questions you didn't ask him. DID HE REALLY SEE MAMMY WATER? DID MAMMY WATER BLESS HIM?
Yes, mr victor uwaifo saw a mummy water in his village in Benin city.
@@itzbabaot6264 Benin is not Village. Infact it's one of africas oldest and lagest city since time immemoria till date.
@@itzbabaot6264 That was an encounter he had at Lagos Bar Beach, not Benin. He he has repeatedly said he saw mama water in his interviews.
WHAT and why the dark glasses
a 51 minutes thought provoking interview of a legend and all you could pick is asking question about his glass? WOW.
Jealous Pamela
@@ovieonojeghuo8347 ....hahaha....jealous....far from it. Uwaifo is someone I have admired for years. Oh, by the way, I do have an absolute right to ask QUESTIONS which some of you might not like but put your comments to me and about me where the sun does never ever shine....yup, stick it right up in there!!!
Look at all his music videos you will see he always use dark glass ok
you all are fools that is y u people are still were you are today fools commenting rubish poor
