Don't get tunnel visioned to only seeing everything the main characters do as good and everyone who disagrees with them as bad, specially when it comes to Laois. It's what's disconnecting you from the other characters' perspective of him.

I don’t. I know they fucked up. Laois party went through hell back and forth to save Falin. They know using black magic wasn’t the right thing but there was no other way. Sometimes you have to to the „wrong thing“ to do good and it can still fail. Instead of getting stuck on other peoples mistakes shuro should accept the damage has been done and there is nothing he can do about. I repeatedly said I absolutely understand Shuros anger but it won’t help the situation at all if he looses his temper and lashes out a Laios.

Well, I think we can’t say that shuro doesn’t care for others. From shuro’s pov(that he doesn’t like laios in the beginning with) I can understand why he’s upset. He and Laios are definitely come from different cultures(shuro, obviously an asian/ Laios…. a white boy) like, ok, I like both of them and I think shuro sometimes can be unnecessarily harsh on laios. shuro doesn’t understand laios, but laios also doesn’t understand shuro too. (he’s not a prince btw, his family just probably is well known and has many servants. as an asian myself I can confirm that he doesn’t get spoiled by his parents/servants (except maizuru lol))

It’s like in the fable of fox and stork. Shuro expects Laois to read social cues but Laios is is unable to + plus he is autistic coded
Its realistic depiction of what happens when japanese and western people try to communicate with each other

I don't remember if it'll be explained later or it's in the adventure bible, but there's definitely a good reason why black magic is a huge taboo. Shuro's reaction is a representation how the average person views them.

I think you get too into thinking that the main characters can do no wrong, and find ways to disregard the valid point of view of anyone who doesn't agree with their actions 100%

Of course they can do wrong. None of the characters are flawless. I absolutely understand shuros reaction to marcille using black magic. Sometimes you have to do the wrong thing ( wrong thing from other peoples perspective)

You look at things from a viewer's perspective. Of course these people won't just fail and die, they are the main characters! But what if they did? What if Falin just killed all three parties and Harpies ate and scattered their corpses, making it impossible to revive them? Would Falin's resurrection still be worth it? You acknowledge that Laios isn't like other people (When he thinks monster Falin is cool, for example), but berate Shuro for thinking the same. Although he also went through a lot to save Falin, we just didn't see it. If he was the main character, you would probably be as angry at Laios

i think Shuro can't continued because he has seen so much and thing has got out of their control, there is nothing he can do.
aslo, it takes them days and plenty of food to get to this lever, and the same amount for going back up, there is literary no way ones can enter the last lever an comeback alive(they would starve) except for Laios party, since they cross the line and accept eating monsters.

It’s nice to see a reactor on Laois’s side, I think Shuro is an asshole for not having the courage to just tell Laois when he was bothering him then turning around and being mad when Laois didn’t figure it out himself

He simply cant. Shuro is japanese. Their way of communication is indirect and relies on reading social cues. You won’t get a straight answer from them. This is what makes the communication between westerner and Japanese so difficult.
