Perfectly Glazed Homemade Donuts | Full Tutorial

- These perfectly glazed homemade donuts are so incredibly tasty. Follow along this full tutorial to make them yourself in no time!
2 Tablespoons (20 g) yeast dissolved in 1/4 (2 oz) cup warm water (about 110° F 43.3° C)
1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk (12 oz)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 g)
1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
2 eggs
1/3 cup (38 g) shortening (unsalted butter will also work)
5-6 cups AP flour (600-720 g)
Glaze:
4 Tablespoons very soft butter (57 g)
1 teaspoon vanilla (5 g)
1-2 Tablespoons corn syrup (5-10 g)
2-3 cups powdered sugar (228-342 g)

do u need a mixer? it sucks but not everyone can kinda jus have one. is hand mixing it able to work?

Tips on halving this recipe? There’s only two of us. Also does this recipe work with an air fryer? Specifically the instant pot air fryer lid.
I have never tried them in an air fryer and I’m sure cutting the recipe in half will work just fine
Is your white glaze same like professional white glaze?can we use regular suger grind at home as subtitute of icing suger ?what is difference between normal regular grind suger or icing suger please explain?

They are going to absorb some oil but your temperature was probably too low

You could try! But butter would be a better substitute
