i have a weird thing going on with my Sage Barista pro
i hadn't used it for a while and had ordered new beans and received them
I opened the bag and thought i had immediately found my right grind settings as during the pre brew infusion phase of the extraction nothing came dripping out (which used to be a good indicator for me) but weirdly enough no pressure built op on the pressure gauge. then the shot started pouring pretty nicely, extraction wasn't too slow or fast and it looked nice.
but the pressure gauge only started rising near the end of the shot and never really got to the point i expedted it to go to.
any ideas on what could be wrong? been happening every time since...

IKR? The Auto Comb costs like 400 dollars, cause you know, the costs of WTD devices now days. Now you can add another 300 dollars for your auto tamping device. At this point, might as well get an espresso machines that does it all in one. Grind the beans into the portafilter, comb them, tamp them, and then brew, then charge 2000 dollars for it, cause you can.
@@stellarproductions8888 the auto comb is more for professional use. The idea is to get cafe's doing wdt and as such it needs to survive a cafe environment, thus part of the cost goes into the build quality.
$299 for a standard tamper might be a lot, but compare this automatic tamper to something like a puq press cost wise. You have to think too, how many will actually sell, an expensive tamper is a niche market, an automatic tamper has an even smaller market, it's going to have a relatively low sales volume and needs to make a profit.

I think you meant to say, its been a hard days night, I dropped my tamper on the floor. It smashed in a million pieces, now I'm buying another, from the store.
