I bought mindloss when it was released, gorefest were the first death metal band I heard, and still one of the heaviest and most intense bands I've heard 🤘 awsome , brutal, intense, slow grinding death metal 🤘 I love it 🤘
Gorefest was unique and a incredibly groovy and tasty band that understood that sounding brutal did not just mean banging extremely quick drum rhythms and guitar riffs... a great balance of everything.
Yeah, in the previous millenium. MTV was great in the 90's. I still remember MTV played My Dying Bride, Sepultura and other metal videos. Their Unplugged sessions were great as well. Just the musicians, with some acoustic instruments, showing their talent and musicianship. Like Nirvana. And of course you had Beavis and Butthead, which were super cool
Well these guys were doing it way before Clutch sir... this song was from their first "transformation" album Soul Survivor the previous 3 albums were more DM but stellar work like everything they have done until the second split-up in 2009.
Gorefest is an awesome band. Just as you look at them and listen to them they sound like a fucking tank. Slow, unstopable and chrusing everything onto it's way. Really amazing music. Simplistic riffs (sometimes) but they just sound really really nice. You gotto love this band.

Gorefest used a Hammond B3 on Forty Shades, Electric Poet, Chameleon, as well as strings and piano on Dragon Man (I'm not sure if they played that song much - if ever - live. I would've loved to hear it live, as it's one of my favourite Gorefest songs), which is why there's a keyboardist in the band.
There is just standing the best of the Netherlands have known. But they have also some status on a international level. They are just awesome not only in holland. GOREFEST!!!
