I do everything the same except I drain carb bowl even after running tru fuel through it also I bring motor to TDC so valves are closed and no air can get in , especially if stored in a humid environment

I keep half tank on gas mixed with recommend amount of Sybil starting tractor every 15 days and let it run for about 15 minutes during winter.

Never seen the Stabil fogging oil. I have been using the Stabil Ethanol treatment on all my "do not use for winter" vehicles for several years now with good success. Will be removing the mowing deck for a fresh coat of paint, and changing the transaxle oil this winter on my LA115 (just hit 200 hours before putting away this season).
What do you use to paint your deck?

Good tips! Sta-bil also makes a fuel storage additive that my small engine mechanic recommended. Any opinions on whether that's the same or better than the pre mix?
My guy recommended I mix two ounces per every five gallons of gasoline and then fill my tank completely full before storing. Been doing that for three years and seems to work good. The year I did t I needed to rebuild my carb. Was all gummed up.
I have used Sta-bil also in my gas worked ok. I think if I was going to mix something in my gas I would use sea foam it comes in a white can. That tru fuel I used is perfect mix fuel no ethanol and has stabilizer already in it. You can also buy it at Lowe’s or Home Depot.
Hello for winter there’s a little pool of gas I can’t siphon out, anything I can put in there to evaporate it so the carburetor doesn’t get gummed up? Thanks so much

whats the gap specks on your spark plug for the D110? just sub'd your channel for JD mower tips.
The spark plug gap is .030 in. Or .076mm. Hope this helps

Thank you! I have a 2006 115 model but when I take my filter out I do not see an intake, just the engine exposed, together with other parts. Where exactly do I spray the fogging oil?
The fogging oil just keeps your cylinders from rusting while in storage. Thanks for watching
I understand, but you are spraying it into the air intake, and mine has no air intake. Only exposed engine parts. Where should I spray it inside the engine please?
It should still suck air in so it will lubricant the inside engine parts so they don’t rust

I did not run dry I let some of that true fuel in it thanks for the advice

What and where is the easiest way to drain the gas tank?
You have to siphon the gas out or you have to run your engine till it’s gone. Sorry no easy way to drain.

This is very time consuming and unnecessary! What I do is add a fuel storage additive to every fuel storage container every time I fill it up with fuel. This accomplishes the same thing without the extra work! Besides I have to use my mower during the winter when tree branches break and have to be sawed removed.
Not to step on no toes but that’s real old school because my dad told me about that “empty the gas tank method “ when I showed him my method 5 years ago he gave it a try and never looked back!

Tru Fuel is the biggest piece of crap fuel.... its ruined my stihl chainsaw and my back pack blower
