The jba headquarters music is so soothing! A stealth game done right! Only wish game developers take notes from this and chaos theory
Indeed ... This game arrived at a good time in my life ... and I have great memories of playing it. I also played the multiplayer online game to death. Wasn't perfect, but was very atmospheric and a lot of fun.
I was too young to get it, parents wouldn't buy it for me. Spent a few weeks scoping out the store and eventually managed to convince the cashier to sell it to me.
Bro i was 16 years old and played this everday, i beated this game 30 times. Soundracks from this game are awesome! Goddam !

The music in this game at the snowy level in New York on the ps2 version fits the atmosphere so well. Splinter cell is still an amazing stealth series next to MGS

@@novabullet2697 Conviction and Blacklist are fun games but they're bad Splinter Cell games. Double Agent was the last true SC game.

I always left a comment with my another account. But this theme just popped up in my mind randomly.
Something about this theme just let’s me rethink life and I appreciate the time i already live. Time runs so fast fellas.
Like it was yesterday when my mother bought me this in 2006. I went into my room threw my Xbox360 on and just went full mode on this game… I play SC for like 20 years already, so really enjoyed every game of the SC series.
Good old memories, but I am glad that there are more people who think the same that way i do.
In any of us lives a Sam fisher.

4:20 - 8:00 is my favourite part!
The music here sounds absolutely forlorn and exhausted. Sam has just escaped from the JBA, but after all of his suffering, his work still isn't done. He has to defuse the bomb, but then what? Sarah's dead. He's wanted by police. Sam doesn't care if he's killed in action anymore. He just needs to complete this last mission, then he can rest.
Really wish this soundtrack showed up in a co-op level, too.
Getting some Gears of War vibes in the beginning.
This melody is intoxicating.

That one can be heard only on Original Xbox, PS2, GameCube and Wii versions of the game (aka SC Double Agent v2).

Only in Double Agent version 1 (PC/Xbox 360/PS3) - If you get the best ending, you will get the bonus mission where Sam goes after Moss, who is on a coast guard boat. He gets the suit while escaping the Swat during the raid at the end.

Hmm, I could recommend you other tracks composed by Michael McCann, something like Deus Ex Human Revolution soundtrack, Watchtower etc. Those ones kinda share the same vibe.

Is there some differences in this soundtrack compared to the bonus mission on the boat or is it actually the same?
As far as I know, only the track at 0:00 is played as an ambient music during that bonus mission, maybe some minor segments of it don't play at all or are looped, I'm not entirely sure, but that's the same background music from that level. Other tracks can be heard either in some loading screens, credits, JBA v1 missions (since the JBA HQ is located in NY) and New York level from the version 2 of the game.
@@Alex37 I noticed the stress soundtrack being different than the other JBA missions. I like this music.
Ahhhhhh, original xbox and ps2 version is better and this is sad. Good times are gone, and even if Ubi make another sp game, that won't be same good sp(
