I have learnt this when I was playing Boros myself (the 250 games experiment) - I remember how incredibly stressed I was to put things on stack, knowing 1 removal messes my whole turn :)

Kinda felt like a memory lapse right? Like, it's a specific timing you need to hit, but it's a pretty back breaking tempo play against the aggro deck that full attacks every turn it has creatures, right when most aggro decks more reliably are already applying pressure. Suddenly, those starts look worse, since cut down can get them for one mana this way post sideboard.
Very happy you enjoyed it - that was a pretty neat trick indeed :D Learnt this, when I was playing boros in that 250 games marathon and I always felt that surgical removal when I spam those 1 drops for convoke, could ruin my day.

Waahh idk if anyone noticed, but, if you Really wanted to get rid of emperors, you couldve done so with deadly coverup at 17:07 since you knew their whole hand except one card and you may have been able to do it!

Interesting deck - I may give it a try. I wonder if you considered Bandit's Haul as a replacement for Celestus (maybe one of them)? You have a lot of spells that target the opponent so I think it may get a good amount of triggers.
Unless you have a shitload of wildcards i wouldnt bother. March is for sure rotating out in a month and i think a few more things from this deck
Yeah, this was card I considered, problem is that here, we care more about lifegain/tempo (on card advantage), as our deck can go super high on value. One thing it lacks, is lifegain, to survive aggro onslaught. Bandit's haul is nice, but unfortunately it lacks lifegain part - so usually I use Cornucopia as replacement, but of course - it's green. It will be much harder to make this deck post-rotation, that's why I decided to keep it in current standard. Black marches are another huge part that gives major lifegain, with perfect scaling. Hopefully new set will replace some of the cards

We usually don't really care if it's 1 or 2 toughness, but sometimes manabase is messy for boros, so I usually aim for this more than stats. Usually no difference, but sometimes can fully swing the game in best case scenario :)

Dude, what about decadent dragon here? Even as a one of its pretty interesting, but makes the mill plan easier while providing g a total underrated body.
I love this comment, literally considered decadent dragon when making this deck - it was one of strong options :) In the end, decided that robberies will be smoother and we don't need more, but dragon can absolutely work here - just decided on different route :)
@SlothMtg yeah, I upped the permanent could with the dragons and more virtues since I don't have Chandra on my account, and it's not as good, but there is something there.
The problem with the Expensive Taste Adventure on Decadent Dragon is that you have to spend the correct mana to play those cards once you have them. If they aren't in your colours, and you don't get a land (and the right land), it's just an expensive Mill 2.
On the upside, the wording on Outrageous Robbery is that your opponent is the one that exiles the cards you get - so they die by their own hand 🙂.
@undahraadaundahraada5594 true, but we get the dragon and big score for treasures, plus we're probably stealing some of their lands at some point, I don't think this deck will struggle with its expesive tastes ;)

Amusingly, because I've been trying out a lot of decks like the ones you are putting out there, Sloth, my win percentage has been hovering at just a little over 50% and I've dropped into the high 90s percentile area of Mythic. It's amazing how the skill level of mono-red and Boros player shifts in that range. They are much worse, which is probably no surprise given they are playing the copy-cat deck and falling into the 90 percentile range! LOL
i mean if you're playing mono red or boros and cant hit mythic, you probably shouldnt be playing MTG. Its why you realize so many of them suck so much, it takes 0 brain to play those decks.
Do you think Insatiable Avarice is worth those wild cards?
