I'm bipolar. I think many people are not as perfect as they appear to be have hold some amount of bigoted, sexist, racist views even if they claim or appear to claim that they don't. People are somewhat a product of how they were raised. Bipolar makes you more susceptible to impulses to not give a crap sometimes and let shit fly. Ofcourse like you said that does not excuse those views or statements. What I think it should do is allow people to be more sympathetic as he tries to apologize and go through it publicly, i guess more lattitude.... BUT, Kanye never apologizes or tries to correct his problems, atleast in a public view.
Mania can progress into psychosis if its allowed to get too bad, especially if not medicated and/or exacerbated with drugs, and I'd say he's near that point, if not there already. Me personally, I've always given Kanye chances because I know he has spirit and intelligence and he's been based before (a la shitting on George W. Bush). I stuck with him as a fan through the MAGA arc, and he eventually seemed to wake up from it and realize they were exploiting him. I waited on Kendrick through his own hotep shit and he came out with MM&TBS and he seems closer to Black American socialist roots than he has in a long time.
Maybe it's naive of me to think that Kanye could become an intersectional Marxist-Leninist one day, but I feel like he has a higher chance of breaking out of the bullshit than most people would in his position.
