    The term "brackish" does not describe the look or the tannin levels. It means that the fresh water is mixed with salt water. Half salt, half fresh, like where a tributary empties into the sea, the head of the river would be brackish.👍

I love the glimpse of the Suwannee you provide for folks who have never been there.     Hey, Cliff, two questions before we embark on our own Suwannee paddling adventure;
    1) what did you boys eat this entire time? MREs? Or some thing else? Any recommendations? Already prepped meals that can be eaten cold?
    2) what about kayak security at the river camps? Aren’t Pirates a very real thing? Or do the campgrounds have cameras or what?
    We should be getting our Pick ‘n Paddle stickers soon! We’re looking forward to doing this trip in 2021!!!

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  Před 3 lety

      Hi there Wilson, I used to cook my own meals while on the trail, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve come to appreciate the simplicity of all the freeze dried camp meals out on the market today. REI has an awesome selection, and they taste great! I like to spend as little time as possible preparing meals and more time adventuring :-) when parking the kayaks for the evening, I had a cable and lock that I ran through the kayak and around a tree etc. I never heard that there were any problems with security, since these river camps cannot be reached by road. I always took my paddle up the camp with me. Your stickers went out on Monday via first class mail, post office is taking a little longer these days…. Have fun on your adventure down the Suwanee next year, hopefully I will get to do it again then as well.

HyperSmooth on High. Low light - On. Shutter - Auto. White Balance - Auto. ISO min - 100 / max - 3200. Sharpness - High. Color - GoPro. Thanks for your comments. I got the information that I received off of the Internet and I saw it recurring many times, so I took it as truth. I guess that’s what you get when you refer to the Internet though, LOL! If you have historical proof that you can send me via an Internet link, that would be awesome! I will make note of the authentic version in my next video down the Suwanee. Take care!

    I canoed the whole Suwannee River I also went down the great PeeDee River twice, they put me in another group and I went down the same river again , before my education was over I went down to Deerfield that connected into the Connecticut River, this was all funded by the Jack and Ruth Eckerd foundation,, he's the guy that had all the drug stores down south I have pictures with him, they said I was mentally Disturbed so they sent me to a camp called e-hunt-tee out of Rhode island,, I believe I canoed over 1,000 Miles,,, is this some kind of club like the thousand Mile club because I should be in it

      I remember the rocks in the river that sent us into the needle we had to thread the needle I guess it was the way the Indians used to catch the fish
