This is Jack Carr's personal FJ62 Land Cruiser, which he's owned for years, but has been recently restored by Icon4x4/TLC4x4 to its current glory. Jack has a love for Land Cruisers (especially the FJ62 and FJ60) which is apparent in his personal life, but also in his novels. This Land Cruiser is actually a character in his books and beloved by the protagonist of his novels, James Reece. Similar to the FJ62 in the novels, what started as an old, beat up rust bucket, is now the envy of any Land Cruiser enthusiast.

@@ollie620 Only NA petrol in the US, Canada saw a limited amount of the NA 2H and 3B with a very few 13bt, the only HZ variants were sold as "industrial" equipment, so mine trucks.
The 80 series is cool too. The Bruiser Cruiser as they call it in South Africa.

Jack is such a stand up guy. I am glad that "select" members like himself are finding their lane and taking it in stride. The gun, survival, tactics, literature/screenplay writing crowds, all welcome you with open arms and gratitude. You pick up the weak links with inspiration and heart. You're fighting a new fight, and thank you for it.

My dad passed on a beautiful FJ62 to me when I was 20 years old. It had been the family vehicle for 14 years at the time, with countless trips to the wild. I loved every second of owning it and did a few more trips with my friends, now as a young adult, before moving overseas 11 years ago. Last year they sold it to a couple. It's great to know that it's still alive and someone's enjoying it and taking care of it. These vehicles are legendary

I'm so glad someone did a review on the 60! I was eager to find something on it after watching the show. I have a 1988 HJ61 (RHD, Turbo diesel, factory front and rear cable driven diff locks, heated driver seat, power sunroof, high roof) in the states while I'm stationed in Japan. Can't wait to get back home to it

Just bought the 4th Jack Carr book (“The Devil’s Hand”) today. Read (listened to) “Terminal List” & “Savage Son” over this past week. Yes, audiobooks! ADHD makes reading laborious to say the least. That LS3 looks better under an FJ hood than a Corvette. Room to work. When this version of the Land Cruiser (60 Series) was released in the
U.S. purest (including me) complained about moving away from the more Jeep version. That view quickly disappeared as this more versatile Land Cruiser became an ICON.

I just finished watching The Terminal List (amazon prime) with Chris Pratt and had no idea that it was based on Jack Carr's book! I inhereted my dad's 65 FJ40 but my undeveloped brain got rid of it in 75(What a dumb ass I was then.). It is so cool that you have Jack Carr. Trying to read book 3 slow, but I can't. I'm wearing Salomon hiking boots because of Jack Carr.

Jack Carr wrote a great series of books which I spent a few hours each night for a little over a week and finished. I can't wait for more books from this series or a new one to come out. I like the fact that a lot of the characters in his book can be compared to other known to the public Navy SEALS. If it wasn't for youtube podcast i wouldn't of been able to match some of the characters in the book to real people. I already owned some Winkler Knives but now I want a Half Face knife after reading Savage Son
