Yep, I did everything right my husband and I double. The first day at 10:30am. It was awesome. We had 3 show up in South Carolina. Still trying to get one to get in North Carolina.

Will turkey calling spook deer?
Not necessarily. If you’re being obnoxious about it yes, but if you’re doing soft calling and the deer can’t see or smell you, then no. They are good at pinpointing sources of sound though so if you do it a lot and they do not see what’s making that noise, after a while they’ll spook.
Left my box calls at my dorm and I arrived at my house without them so I had to buy a call last minute 😔

No I haven't. I just looked them up and its unfortunate they only sell box calls right now. I do like that they're handcrafted, or at least appear to be.
@@InformedOutdoors He's a customer of mine, I do the laser work for him, his craftsmanship is impeccable. Another new one that makes a sweet round slate call is Rupert Calls.

Don't call while the gobbler is still in the tree. This is a pet peeve of mine. Why is the turkey you're pretending to be on the ground before flydown time? I never make a peep until I know the birds have hit the ground.
I've heard of people calling to a roosted bird thinking that they can get them to fly down in their direction.
What is fly down time? Do they go by EST, CT MT??
