Great stuff. Tomorrow is Oklahoma youth turkey season. My son and I have been enjoying your videos. We bought your starter kit. We have been practicing with the mouth, box, pot callers. I think we are ready for our first Turkey hunting father son trip. Will camp out both nights. Talked with two of the area biologist and they gave us an area to scout. Thanks again for the great videos.
Just got back. We didn't get a turkey. We talked to one gobbler but he was headed to private land away from us. That was cool. We didn't hear one shot go off both days. We walked 8 miles up and down canyons and ridges. Saw caves and waterfalls but no turkey.

This was my first season of turkey hunting and i got a 3 hens so close to me i could pet them and they were making those exact noises when they got far away i got my slate call out and did some soft pers and the hens came right back to me it was awesome this was in the spring i wish it w
as in the fall i would have a couple hens
This series of videos definitely helped me, as I started out not being able to make any noise with a mouth call. I am making basic clucks and cuts now, but I am having a lot of difficulty hitting higher pitches to get those yelps mixed in. I have a very deep voice so that may be the problem, but is there any tricks to getting that high pitch for purs and yelps?
