Add frozen peas and carrots to make it chicken pot pie stew! Blend tomatoes and can milk for creamy tomato soup? This is fun, more of these. You are a genius!
Puree the diced tomatoes and add some evap milk and spices to make cream of tomato soup...
The salmon you could make patties . Mix salmon, mashed potatoes, grated onion, eggs You then make in to patties and fry or you can coat with breadcrumbs
My Mom used to do this with leftover salmon when out camping.So good!

U CAN make whipped cream out of really cold evaporated milk,whip add some sugar or sweetner

When I was a kid, we called the grocery store in our small town the bent can store because the owner got everything from damaged or surplus. Lots of cans didn't have labels so many nights were mystery can dinners. Always fun!

When we lived in Michigan, the man who owned the local store. Gave us every month a big huge box of cans goods with no labels on them. My mother would take and make the most amazing meals out of them. You are truly my sister My mom make potato dumplings just like you did here. She had to feed 8 of us.
We cook alike. I had some rice and 1/2 can of corn, so I added onions, garlic, peanuts, peanut butter, soy sauce and made fried rice 🍛

I would love to see a video showing what you cook your family for a week using only what fd found in a dumpster and spices/ingredients you had in your pantry. Showing how to feed a family of four/five for a week without spending any money.

For one can of diced tomatoes dice some celery and onions to make a meat loaf. That's what I use for mine. Just an idea 💡

The only thing I would have done differently is to cut the pears and add some applesauce and used some of the pear juice to make a slurryto thicken up the fruits. Maybe a little more milk (evaporated of course) or a wee bit of water with the chicken. You're right thro just about any vegetables would have been wonderful.
I've used applesauce to bump up the amount of apples I had to make an apple crisp.

That is a good idea with the milk, potatoes dumplings...The tarts are a cute idea as well. You could also make like a crumb topping on top to make it fancy. You did good! F.D. doesn't seem to fussy on what he eats,just as long as he does😅...TEE-HEE!!🤗👍💞💒

you could have made some chicken croquette patties, made a cream sauce or cream gravy out of evap milk to go over them. could have fixed stewed tomatoes with diced tomatoes. interesting and fun idea!
Watching you opening those cans brought back memory's of my grandma she made this soup we call it grandmas soup. She would buy cans of peas and carrots and corn green beans stewed tomatoes and lean hamburger if she had enough money beef broth also she would fry the hamburger add all the canned stuff including the broth than minced garlic chopped onion and your favorite seasonings everyone in our family has made grandmas soup when times were hard I add elbow macaroni when my kids were still at home. My friends will come in when I have that on the stove and beg me for the recipe I make it now because my husband loves it.

okay use 2 cans beans with tomatoe sauce use 3 lbs ground beef use 1 large can of diced tomatoes use i can plain tomatoe sauce fry up ground beef put it in the crock pot fry up one onion put it in the crock pot add the other ingrients in the crock pot
We love home made fruit pie with condensed milk poured over the pie in place of custard, perfect dessert! 👍👍👍👍

Yes! I have mashed up a drained can of pears and added to the applesauce. It is very good. "pear applesauce". Oh wonderful to see your daughter and Frugal Daddy taste test the stew and tart!
