I had a 2003 burgman 650 and loved it. Huge storage and fit me well. Gas mileage was 42 to 44 mpg for me. I sold it, regretted selling it, and bought a 2017 burgman 200. I really like it. I am a big guy at 6 foot and over 300 lbs so it is a little cramped compared to the 650, but consistently gets me 65 to 70 mpg commuting and when back road cruising at a constant speed showing 90 mpg. It handled the highway at 65mph, but I did not enjoy the ride compared to the 650. Keep on enjoying it, it is a fine ride.

I've had a 2014 Burg 200 for almost three years. Bought it because it was light enough to go on the back of my motorhome. Built a power lift for it. I love my Burgman and it continues to amaze me. My wife and I rode 45 to 50 miles up and back on the Blue Ridge Parkway! From Cherokee southern entrance. It handles us together fine,no problems with the mountains. Combined weight of 350 plus. Just got back from an out west trip. Loved riding it in Yellowstone.

Yes sir, bike has saved me around 800$ in gas so far and I honestly didn’t get to ride it as much as I’ve ridden other bikes in previous years, had a lot of rain this past year that cut down on how many days I rode it to work

I toured with this scooter all around Spain and Portugal (3000 miles total) including a lot of very steep and narrow mountain roads. It behaved impeccably. It could easily keep up with A road traffic and is comfortable cruising at 70 mph+ (will hit 80 mph at a stretch). There is one issue with it, and your review mentions it. The seat is low but the platform is quite high. If you are over 5 feet 9 inches you are going to be cramped, as long legs mean your knees are too high. This can be alleviated by pushing your feet as far forward as they will go, which is much more comfortable. I averaged 90 miles per imperial gallon which is excellent for a 200cc scooter. If the seat was slightly higher and the platform lower it would be perfect.

We had two dealers here in the valley that sold Japanese bikes that closed their doors this year...Only thing left is a Harley Davidson dealership and a place that does repairs, sells used bikes and sells accessories..Ha.My brother lives close to Littlerock Arkansas. I was surprised when you said you had your Burgmen 200 up to 80 mph. I am looking at scooters for the first time in my life. I've always had motorcycles but at my age I want something with a smooter ride.
My wife always rides with me, and we are not big people, I weight 175 and she weights 130. Do you think a Burgman 200 could carry us both at 65mph and not be too streesed out? We ride a lot of highways where the speed limit is 70 mph, but I usually hold one at 65. Please help, I've been checking out a Kymco X-Town 300i, A Burgman 400(but it's OLD) and I know where there is a Burgman 200 in real good shape that I might be able to get for $3000. PLease give me your opinion. Being that you own one you know a lot more about them than I do. Thank you.

2 up is fine, and when I had mine I commuted to and from work 40min each way at 70mph. After 8k miles still no issues with the bike, it handles it just fine, and me and my wife are about the same weights and it does 2 up fine, could probably still hit top speed with us both on it, that last 10mph would just take longer. Go look at and ride that 200 and you will be very surprised 👍

I’ve owned a number of new bikes and I’ve always broke it in by riding it exactly how I would ride it normally, and after 40,000+ miles no noticeable oil usage. I've been looking at Burgman 400's because my wife always rides with me, but we rarely go faster than 60 or 65 mph. In this video you stated that the 200 will run about 80 mph. Do you think it can cruise at 60 to 65 without a lot of vibration with my wife and myself? I weight about 175 and she weights about 130? I like the 200 better in many ways. On the larger scooters they are addind a lot of elecronics which I don't care for. I just want a simple scooter that can cruise at 60 to 65 mph with both of us on it. Thanks
