S variant is so much value for money. All necessary features available
Hyundai are reliable cars. Driving Hyundai for the last 14 years , Never had any problems. The other reliable brand is Honda.
Suzuki and Toyota should be right there at the top. Have the first gen Suzuki 800 with me.. 36 years old. Have first generation innova too ...16 years old. No problem just oil changes, clutch changes 2 times.

I heard from someone that Hyundai cars become really expensive to maintain as they age. I hope that is false, because I personally like the Exter, inexplicably.
@@fancyyahooTrue, Having i19 14 years old Not expensive, just oil service and 2 sets of shoes clocked 70k.
Very expensive to maintain. Engine is reliable but fuel efficiency is poor.
The look reminds me of Skoda Yeti of yesteryear
This is gonna eat Punchs sale from 30-50%.
Cause indian buyers at this point are more aspirational and all these extra features gonna be a major sale securing thing.

Punch has nothing apart from a slightly better styling and safety.
Rest all are better in the exter.
Performance, refinement, reliability, features,space and fit n finish inside out.
If exter does have some good safety rating, then only it's gonna eat up Punch's sale. Else Punch will be Punch and Exter will be Exter. Hopes it does get some good rating. Most of the Tata customers are concerned about safety rather than those gimmicks. If Exter come with safety rating rest of the gimmicks are cherry on top.
Best product from Hyundai for a family of 4. Hope it scores 4 stars at least in CAP ratings as it looks like sells quite well for Hyundai

Exter looks much bigger in Pics then in reality.
Just saw it new on road yesterday and found it be much smaller than expected.
Firstly, the review , it was on point , really clean, no nonsense , and I absolutely loved it.
Second, I am guessing will this eat into hyundai's own cars , people looking for nios top model , venue or i20 base models may actually end up buying this car instead. Definitely looking forward for exter vs punch

My parents purchased an AMT exter SX optional. After a long drive what I felt is it's a good car with lots of features packed in.
Smooth AMT with responsive paddle shifters are definitely the highlight of the car. Apart from good ground clearance & visibility never expect an SUV feel from the car.
Some missings are adjustable headrest for front passengers & front arm rest. Headlights & horn seems to be very ordinary.
Engine power, suspension set up and seats are good enough for city roads but not going to impress you for long highway rides.
Such a nice design - I was expecting a bigger video with more details..

I'm struggling to find which variant supports the "Rear view camera with dynamic guidelines" feature, it's not mentioned anywhere.
Even the sales executive sounded like he is bluffing with info as it's not mentioned anywhere.
Comparing with punch exter has more features , proportion and lookwise my personal openion is Punch is more manly and SUVish look as exter is something like a modified hatct. The addition of 6 airbags as standard is a good point still Crash test ratings will prove it's authenticity as if the shell is not stable for an impact then airbags can't give a good protection.
Am I the only one who feels that side portion of rear resembles tata safari?
This car will bring down the sales of Punch, fronx, magnite, kiger, amaze and even hyundai's nios and i20😅

I guess the car companies think that a middle passenger always gets a headrest i.e. the shoulders of the side passengers 😂😆
Also, a middle passenger never has that space to completely make use of the back rest. They have to sit a little ahead to accommodate...
The problem I found with Hyundai cars is the fuel efficiency is not consistent. They always come below our expectations. I used many Maruti and folks wagon polo. I can always predict how much I can expect. Just my opinion. I hear Tata and Hyundai are same in terms of mileage. Just my findings 🙏

Technically it should be compared with its rivals for features as no one is delivering even those features at 6L.
Citeron c3 is also expected to have better crash score. But after a lot of people purchased it, the test conducted and prooved to be a zero star car. Only after a crash test we can say how safe is this car.After all the hype if exter also score poor safety rating, a lot of people get cheated. So people should wait until it prooved to have atlest 4 star safety before they going to buy.
If Hyundai is so confident about the safety features offered in Exter, then it should voluntarily sent it for global NCAP testing instead of making false claim. Still feel cheated buying Creta believing Hyundai's claim that 2020 Hyundai Creta can withstand the weight of 2 African Elephants.

Not to forget it has the better acceleration, refinement,space , reliability,after sales service,better fit and finish in the interior .
Also 5 stars literally does not mean you will be not hurt if accident is big or severe 🤣 if the accident is big you will be hurt even if it's merc or volvo so if exter manages 4 star it should be good enough

this car looks beautiful .. it overtook kwid in the looks.. nice specs.. except the rear passenger seat which should accomodate 5 persons atleast comfortably and enough leg room.. thats where baleno wins..in passenger comfort..

Mostly looks good, few weirds skips though - 16" wheels, front and rear arm rest, adjustable head rest front and turbo engine. Hyundai should have provided all these as an option.
Probably the best in the class
I had an old i20 with the same engine and that engine takes at least two working days to accelerate.
How much the same problem with Tata punch it is also very under powered and weighs a lot for 87bhp motor.
What we need is a 100hp 170nm turbo engine or even a Diesel with 90-100hp and 250nm and then we are talking.
both Hyundai and Tata have respective 1.4and 1.5L diesel, at least give an option for that.
@@shree397 I actually agree with you. But diesels are not possible because of cost. Diesels are quite expensive due to bs6.
Turbo petrol were there in Nios and Aura pre facelift but we're discontinued due to low sales. But they offered only manual. If they offered an auto, maybe they would have made quite some impact.

@@shree397car taking 2 days to accelerate hints a problem with driver. I have owned i20 from multiple generations and it is a good city car with acceleration as expected and required for a city car. How much bhp is just another factor and not everything about a car.

Sir my budget is 11 lac .. exter sxo coming in that range and xuv300 w6 coming close to 12.8 lac..is worth extending 2lac for XUV300 vs exter hyundai.

The back tyre and body have very less space between them which makes it look like they might hit against each other if the car is fully laoded with passengers and luggage. Is that true? Or that is not something to worry about. Also in longer run, will the body weight weigh down and touch the tyres?
It does squat when loaded, there's enough of a gap but stay tuned to our website as we'll be putting it through a long test and our full instrumented tests that will include acceleration and city and highway fuel efficiency too.

Got confused with Mahindra KUV100 and merely front and rear appears same! Typical design language they used for old Creta which was notorious for its confusing design.
