    I feel that the 308 has been largely ignored in favour of the 3008. The 2017 facelift brought the EAT8 gearbox, and the 2020 facelift-facelift brings a digital display, but very little has changed since the 2014 launch. Its interior has polarised more people than anything else by Peugeot, because they deliberately got rid of most of the buttons from the 208 but never added piano keys to bring it in line with the rest of the range in 2017, and as you can't adjust the rear seats for more room (unlike the C4), it's not the best option for ferrying rear passengers around but would be excellent for the weekly shop or going away. It really needs some love, and I can only hope the Mk. III is designed similarly to the new 208.

    I kind of like the analogue dials of the old 308 where the rev counter turns anti-clockwise for symmetry. Unfortunately there has been some trouble with the 1.2 engine lately because of the timing belt which runs in oil similar to the Ford 1.0 EcoBoost.

    • @cytrynowy_melon6604
      @cytrynowy_melon6604 Před 3 lety

      The biggest problems with belts and oil consumption were (and some still are) in 1.6 THP/PureTech version, 1.2 is nothing compared to that.

      @@vince207 Yes, my 2015 model still gets a lot of positive attention on the roads. It's got enough tech for me. It has the blindspot monitor, auto parking, front and rear sensor, reverse camera, adaptive cruise control and that's really all I need. I don't care about android auto/apple car play and 360 camera. The infotainment is a little bit slow but not a big deal. I am going to keep this car for a long time, I love it.

    Likable from the outside, nice interior design and quality but limited space inside and that awful steering wheel that cuts in half the instrument panel is a no no that deters many from buying. Still cannot understand that french insistence for that steering wheel/instrument panel combo which is an ergonomic failure and yet still is carried over to mostly all Peugeot models.

      Becuase you have not driven one extensively, you don't understand. The combination of i-Cockpit and small steering wheel is genius.. more car manufacturers should be using it. It does not block any instrument panel.. you need to adjust it to suit, both seat and steering wheel can be adjusted many different ways. This is an excellent car, I daresay the best affordable hatch available.
