I've always measured hurl from the end of the model being thrown. Otherwise, a 1 inch hurl wouldn't move the model. Great move from the cave drake to put the pressure on.
That’s my thoughts exactly - I knew there was a reason I’d forgotten! The old 1” hurl conundrum :)
What model is being used for the spider queen ? Great battle report !
Hate to root against you but I'm a sucker for elves, poor Gil Galad lol. At 22ishmins could that elf archer have wrapped round the spider and tag the bats? Give glorf his full fight? Love the cave drake colours man.
They are fun, but goblins are more tricksy :)
The spiders spawned too close to the tree to let anyone into the bat to stop them doing exactly that :) Otherwise Glorfindel would have eaten her alive ;)
Glad you like him - Rainbow Drake ftw! Took so long to paint each scale a different colour though that my other drake is plain green still while I wait to regenerate the will to live ;)
One of my favorite parts about this game is that oftentimes the score ends up 12-0 or similar, but in reality the game could have very easily gone the complete other direction.

If the bat would have been blocked from charging Gil-Galad, he could have charged the spider queen and the Spider-Brood after killing the drake in his Heroic Combat and then charge the Broodling with the Spearman that was in the same fight.
Then Gil-Galad would have dueled the Spiderqueen and Glorfindel only the Bat-Swarm, which would be huge, or am i missing something?
100% correct - as soon as I made the move he realised that he’d made a mistake not covering Gilgalad’s back. You live and learn! :)

Spider Queen very likley just dies to GilGalad and GilGalad and Glorfindel can just go crazy rest of the game (only need to worry about the Troll+Bat Swarm)
Very Cool Game, i like when you have these situation, where decisions matter a lot, rather than an unlucky dice throw
Yeah it would have been a completely different game - especially as the Queen was his target. I’d have had nothing that could stop the two elf lords too and would have been smashed to pieces! Against those kind of opponents this Moria list needs to be very cautious and pick the right time to go in with all its tricks at once :)
Glorifindel. Oh, how many times I've managed to get nothing over 3 on his attacks...
The great elven Lord indeed ;) My “cursed” model is Eomer … never rolls higher than a 3 so I never include him any more :)
