@@jswin2084 Nah we're F'ed if podz is starting. 3rd season in a row going in with an undersized lineup. Kerr like still gonna try and start wiggins over JK, the backcourt is undersized, and there's no scoring threat outside of Steph in the starting lineup. Podz should come off the bench in the role CP3 played last season. That's when he was at his best before kerr forced him to be a 2 guard.
@@calmdownbruh8518 We wouldn't be undersized at all. Wiggins is gone. Let's get that out of the way. I'd be willing to put a gun to my head, and squeeze the trigger on him being gone by the deadline. Pretty sure Dunleavy heavy shopping him now, even though it's probably better to wait to deal him during all star break. Get the best value.
Ok? So Wiggins gone. GSW brass has challenged JK to be prepared coming out of the off-season, to be the starting SF...
So he's got to come in a better shooter and make tighter decisions with the ball.
They do NOT want Kuminga at power forward. He doesn't rebound. And if they don't deal him, then he's obviously gonna start. PF is just where they been hiding him. So yeah.

They want to put green next to a shooter. Whether this is at PF or Center doesn't matter
I like Podziemski distributing, because of the low TO and the IQ is roof shattering. But he's not lateral enough to guard a lot of these little scorers. You also take him further away from his strengths as a rebounder putting him up. Podz is one of the best rebounding guards in the league, and rebs translate to wins.
He's also going to be in less position to defend the paint and draw charges. I like Podz closer to the paint defensively. He's more effective on that side of the ball when he's further down. Don't like him further out, and notice he loses a lot of challenges on closeouts because of the reach. He jumps heavy. Not necessarily quick vertical leaper, but uses lots of leg drive and momentum when he gets up
Bonte just compare Beal to Markannen? Beal who is a guard and Markannen who is a center that can spread the floor? What was Beal going to do, play center? Beal at best was a starting PG, now is a backup PG. Not starting SG bc he can't defend. The fit next to Steph would be as bad as DLO next to Steph and we know how that turned out. With Beal, it was assumed Klay was still on the team too.
It's not the same scenario at all.
Lauri is a forward not a center. Otherwise I agree.
