so glad they’ve been going crazy with the advertising for this game, pikmin 1, 2 and 4 being top sellers in the eshop too. definitely a revival the series needed
Shadow dropping games like this has been really good for Nintendo, and great for fans too and newcomers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same animators, iirc Nintendo recently bought out the studio responsible for animating the Pikmin Short Movies

The fact that they spent time to mention that your Pikmin WILL die gives me hope that Pikmin 4 will still be challenging.
Even if the campaign isn't until the end, there'll probably be DLC. I'm sure it's just the first area that's easy though. 3 was the same.

@crowmaster9652 he will make somethings easier but he isn't a god from the start. He can't climb at all and at the start of the game he can't swim and only carries woth the strength of 3 pikmin. Heck you cant even tell him to go to places on the map like you could woth the other captains in 3 until you upgrade him. You have to rescue people to earn points to level him up and then pay for each skill.

@@crowmaster9652 he is basically a captain who can do what a pikmin can but can't pluck or throw pikmin.
I like how they don’t try to avoid, they flat out admit (albeit gently) that your Pikmin can and often WILL die horribly.
Unless this game is a piece of cake.
If Pikmin are actually going to die we need challenges like Pikmin and Pikmin two being hardcore.

This actually will be my first expedition with Pikmin.
You're lucky too you get the chance to experience all types of pikmin (so far) within the same game. I'd definitely recommend pikmin 3 deluxe and the bundle for pikmin 1 and 2 for different play styles of the series

The animations remind me of Pikmin Short Movies. Besides not in-game, I’m glad they gave them facial expressions instead of soullessly staring forward. 🥺
Nintendo doesn't give their characters enough emotion- I love these mini movies and shorts.
I love how they made these little cutscenes for this game, the not actual gameplay parts. I want to watch this video again just for those alone. It's these little extras that just make the game more fun & imaginative. Looking forward to this game more & more. Now I'm just curious of what other types of Pikmin we'll find.

The 4 demo has been my first ever Pikmin experience and it's been so fun. Gameplay is unique and engaging. Can't wait until full release. I'll also be purchasing 1 + 2 soon as well. Also, still have to check out 3.

@@frankmiranda09i think they were referring to the difficulty. Since the first area is mainly a tutorial area, the demo felt fairly easy. I have a feeling that the games will be pretty difficult at points haha. Especially since the game overall seems to take a lot of inspiration from 2. And despite not much of a time limit in 2, there were so many hazards that Pikmin were going to die at some point.

PLEASE FIX MOTION CONTROLS. It was perfect in Pikmin 3 Deluxe!
Really hope they get adjusted before release, or eventually patched. Ever since New Play Control for Pikmin 1 & 2 on Wii, there is no going back. Waited so long for this game, just to find out that it feels terrible to control as a motion control player 😞. It’s the difference between scraping through the story once vs. playing through entirely, 100%-ing the game, and making Dandori Battles a staple for social gatherings.
Yeah it sucks 😭 I want to pour my heart and soul into this game, but… ugh. How and why did they botch motion controls so badly?

The motion controls are not malfunctioning as you put them out to be, per se.
It is just the unfortunate part of gyro controls, which are great, but do not have a reference point.
On the Wii (and by extension the Wii U), the sensor bar was available which allowed to do pointing controls without a problem thanks to the reference point provided by the sensor bar. It was great. There was no loss of calibration ever.
But, with gyro controls, for as good as they are, lose calibration over time and their center point of reference moves to a completely different part of the screen, making motion controls tedious over time.

I am super excited for this game now! I didn't consider myself anything near a pikmin fan before I played the Pikmin 4 demo. I got Pikmin 3 on my Wii U when I was younger but was too stupid to beat the first boss. After playing the Pikmin 4 demo I've returned to it and I love it.

Pikmin 4 GOTY contender from what I got from that demo. Its really good. Other than tears of the kingdom, nothing else comes close.
The games that deserve it are finally getting on top. Up with Zelda and pikmin! Down with pokemon! Game freak needs to complete rework how they do things. They aren't getting away with cheap lazy crap anymore. That ss Anne has sailed, and they don't have the rainbow ticket to a free ride anymore.

Anyone notice that the emperor bulblax in this trailer was the Pikmin 1 final boss version while the previous trailers showed the pikmin 2 version... are they different enemies???
It's probably a bulblax emperor that has reached maturity like in the 1, we can see it with plants on its back whereas the one in the previous trailers only had shoots, moreover since there is the return of the final boss of pikmin 1 maybe there will be titan dweewil and the plasma wrait in the game
Maybe it's like how the Emperor Bulblax is first treated as a Final Sublevel boss but then later in the game it's just treated as a normal mini boss.
