      TXSolo Livin that would be awesome if it would be that way.. hell I wouldn’t mind painting it all black. I am guessing it’s just to find a paint that won’t mess up with the sun and with the water...

      no worries bud, if you want add me on facebook...TXSOLOLIVIN OUTDOORS and message me there, ill reply much faster.
      If its in the back of the truck its a bit easier. I back it up super close to the wall of a building or structure making it very hard to get it off. Also i use bicycle locks through the grab bar to the bed of the truck. Just dont leave your motor outside, that can easily be stolen if you dont put a lock on the transom screw fasteners.

      Yes, easily. I have a friend who went with my setup and I can see it plain easily on his. Majority of the weight is on the back of the skiff, so if anything it adds a little counter balance. That’s why I went ahead and placed it there.

    • @txsololivin2776
      @txsololivin2776  Před 4 lety +1

      Manu Garcia yes it does. The front hull has a removable lid where you can use it as storage, live well, or ice chest. Doesn’t hold ice very well tho. I used it once but didn’t like that my drinks and snacks got all slimy mixed with the fish.

    WTF? Just buy a 10' jon boat and a used 5hp motor and it'll still be cheaper! I own a kayak, paddle and anchor! Not not more is needed except a good baitcasting reel & pole & spinning reel & rod if its windy a handful of lures and basic knowledge of tides and your good to go! I choose to wade & kayak for its simplicity! Not having to drag out my bay boat! You know KISS! But that solo is sweet! I'm thinking the only thing missing is the spotter plane!! CMTFU!!

    • @txsololivin2776
      @txsololivin2776  Před 3 lety +1

      michael byrne I also have a hobie kayak, I prefer to stay out off the water unless I have too. The skiff allows me to scout spots at a way faster pace than on kayak. Once I find nice little honey holes, I hit them up during kayak tournaments.

    • @michaelbyrne8860
      @michaelbyrne8860 Před 3 lety

      @@txsololivin2776yeah I hear ya! I have two boats, 17' Carolina Skiff, and a Charger Bass Boat, (BOAT stands for bust out another thousand) and old canoesport kayak because I got too old to swim the cut at Ssn Luis Pass with two poles. But the honey hole is any drainage that starts moving faster than 1/3 of a knot! Bait can't hold place and ball up and ride it out to gulf and back in to bay, even in your so called honey holes if there's no movement then there's no active fish! Hobie, Solo or a skinny bay boat ain't gonna matter! The best tool you can have is the gulf coast magazine and understand how the weather can either hold up or speed up a tide at the location you want to fish! And take advantage of fish feeding in that area as far as what lure presentation to use! To more crap you put into that equation the less time spent fishing and the more time messing with the extra crap you thought you needed! You need to wade areas to understand the make up and its drainage then all the fancy equipment might? Work into your advantage?? I still say San Luis Pass with a moving tide is still a fantastic fishery, but because some idiots think that fishing is drinking a 12 pack snd leaving the cans there and drowning or getting thier kids drowned! we are no longer able to wade in these areas! ie a kayak is a great way to get across the cut and fish the flats on in coming tide! Cold Pass is another great fishing funnel when the tide is moving! I caught my four biggest trout at those passes two on a black tout w/yellow tail and two on a slack tide behind the pass with a triple chance spoon in 20' cut fishing on a tight line like bass jigging letting the spoon flutter down keeping contact with spoon until I didn't feel it and set the hook and reeled up 7lb & 8lb female trout should've never kept them! but I didn't know any better back then! I know TMI!! But until you can look at CGF Magazine and understand how the tides work in the drainages, cuts, passes & beaches those are the true honey holes you can consistently catch fish! Then your fancy equipment and your spotter drone might help!? CMTFU!! Sinn Fein Byrne
