- Here's a 2-min filmette 'Curtains' which John Furse shot on October 18th 2018 of the Dudley Sutton funeral cavalcade from Chelsea Old Church to his much loved haunt the Chelsea Arts Club, where he lay in state amongst the revellers before being taken to be cremated. Edited by John's filmmaking partner Gus Coral to the music of the New Orleans Band that accompanied the cortege it gives a flavour of this life-affirming event. The NHS campaign featured prominently, as Dudley and his family wished.

I only realised incrementally my shared interests he had albeit far to late if I'm honest, I live 2mins away from Trafford General Hospital (formerly Park Hospital) the first national health hospital opened by Aneurin Bevan, both my children born there, and his poetry, which those interested would find my own here on CZcams, and finally I was in the antiques business, so all in all I have had an affinity and love for Dudley grow as time passed...He was a gifted!!
Sorry to hear of his passing. A character as everyone seems to agree and an very underrated actor who should have be given more roles. Met him in Hong Kong many years ago when he was filming Noble House. A Gent. Wonderful send-off Btw
A fitting farewell to one of the world's great characters. Never less than memorable, whatever he did.
