Similar to what I expected when I first saw them. It was helpful to hear the full breakdown and where they went right/wrong.
I’m sure when Vanessa and Nike renegotiated the deal, it was more about her getting a bigger piece of the pie than it being about making more shoes.

I don't think there should be a reason to be upset with this company making a shoe look like a kobe . I'd be upset with Nike for not mass producing enough kobes . If I had money I would create my shoe similar to a kobe . Can't be mad at them and I am excited to try them out . Props to Serious Players only .
Brands like Puma and Adidas should be making shoes similar to this. Light, minimal with good cushioning. They should be going after the ‘Kobe shoe’ gap in the market that Nike have created.
Obviously they can’t straight up copy Kobe’s, but like you touched on Nike opened the door for this because they refuse to make Kobe’s accessible to the public.
For those that have played in Kobe’s and liked them, we know that they are the best bball shoes for our playstyle, so we’re always going to seek out Kobe-esque shoes (eg Puma All-Pro) until Nike makes them widely available (which is looking less and less likely sadly).
The Wade 808 2s, which I heard we're like a Kobe 9, has been phenomenal for me. I'm probably gonna another pair.

Even in the snide verse a soft pliable outsole is a sign of cheap quality it’s the most important thing to get right imo unless you’re going for max cushion tech

Hopefully with Vanessa being back on board and all the Kyrie drama Nike will put the time and resources (materials, factory space, etc..) towards making more Kobes. Especially since the Kyries were their volume seller. These? Might make sense if they were $40 at Walmart

I have the same issue with the toe cupping on this shoe even though length wise it feels good. As a result the fit isn't great.

Damn, you’re words are 100% on point , Chris! These will get you that Kobe fix! Aesthetic wise , these look great . If one were to purchase, I’d assume it would be for causal use. Rounded up, $200 pretty steep for a wannabe . Looking forward to the next review !

Disappointed to hear these likely don't cut the mustard. I don't care as much about the fact that they ripped off the aesthetic from Kobes so I was hoping these would be good - figured they'd be a decent alternative to the Bruce Lee 5s. 😀 Interested to hear the full review, but likely passing on these. I am really annoyed at Nike for not being more transparent with their Kobe line. She signed a new deal please clue us into more Kobe's, the people want them. Like you said they did this to themselves that's why so many people even buy reps to play in.

Ugh man, anybody heard anything more about the Kobe’s? Last I heard & saw was Nike made some all blacked out 8s it had the manufactured date 2022 but I haven’t heard or seen anything else since that I REALLY want some 8 protro’s esp after the GT cut 2s turned out to be ass the best drop in shoe on the market rn is no doubt the WOW 808 2 Ultra.

In all honesty…with the quality of todays reps I would never pay that for a brand like this when I can hoop in all the rep Kobe’s I have with LEGIT zoom and cushioning🤷🏾♂️
I had a different experience with my reps. Used the Reddit forums, grabbed a pair of rep 6’s and I feel like I’m gonna roll my ankle in them when playing ($130 bucks for the pair as well). They’re Fine for casual wear but I found the Lebron XX to be the best pair of ball shoes I’ve had on my feet in a long time.

I'm glad you got these. Another reviewer sounded like a paid spokesman endorsing the Hell out that shoe with little to no complaints on anything. That's why I always turn to Wear testers to give unbiased opinions.

It's sad that no one can come up with an original idea or design, Hell none of the major shoe companies seem to be able to do it. All I have is retros. I would buy a pair of new Nike's or Reebox if they come come up with a halfway decent design. Hell the last good pair of Jordans were the XIV's. Just sad.

for $158, these aint it. i get tryna get your name out there as a new brand, but cloning a sneaker that doesnt look like it would hold up; that's steep. $75-100 would be more palpable and get this product into more hands. hopefully the performance review puts the money where my mouth is.
