lyman is trapped in that dungeon so that we may live. his sacrifice is noble and honourable and no one should go looking around for him he has explicitly stated he is happy and content and does not miss his dog odie at all.
“Memorial to Lyman, through his sacrifice Muncie, Indiana lasts eternal”
It's because Lyman knew what Garfield is, and Jon didn't want to risk word getting out.
Oh that crazy Garfield hating mondays eating lasagna locking people in basements you know just the usual Garfield stuff
Lyman got trapped in the basement so garfield couldnt escape
@@A_Guyswag nah i think it was just a easter egg to him disapearing gorefield isnt even a real thing but its more interesting than regular garfield i guess
Here’s a good one:
Polygon Man.
Originally he was supposed to be the mascot for PlayStation but he was scrapped when his creator didn’t like how he was shaded. Fast forward a few years and then he became the final boss of PlayStation All Stars because he’s pissed that his status of mascot was taken by characters like Bigdaddy, Sackboy, Sir Daniel, and Parappa the Rapper.
add this if you make the part 3
That's honestly a genius idea for the Final Boss of a Crossover Game lol
Honestly his anger is kinda justified since characters like Big Daddy and Isaac Clarke weren't even PS mascots lol. One cool tidbit about him is that one of his quotes, "I consider this a role-playing game, today you'll be playing the role of the piñata!" is actually taken straight from the promotional poster he originated from. Also from what I've gathered, it seems his VA in PS All-Stars is still a mystery to this day.
@@connorbeith3232 My favorite is "For you? Your final test. Me? A fleeting moments pass."
You know, given his status as a part of PlayStation's long history, I'm surprised he didn't appear in Astro's Playroom in some capacity.
I remember playing that Garfield flash game as a kid and I didn't realized it was Lyman, the original owner of Odie. I thought it was some random dude getting stuck inside the dungeon chamber until I read the comic strip.
He also appeared in that special jungle episode of _The Garfield Show_ where Lyman just wandering around the said jungle.
Yes i remember this game
It used to be on Friv with that flash sonic game and that one where you cut out stars
that flash game was unironically one of the scariest games i ever played as a kid
@@evil_samaa same I never finished it. Always spooked me out
i stopped playing at that part of the game

I mean in defense of the devs of the SpongeBob game, Yummer is probably funny to them the same way Freddy Fazbear is funny to us
Yummer honestly doesn't look to out of place for weirdcore stuff tbh. He'd just kinda fit right in.
Well, if you ask me, toy Freddy is kinda funny. I don't know why. Probably because:
His voice
He's chubby
He's a gamer
@@WOKEchair he hasn't touched grass yet
Considering the assets having a relation to an event involving "canned socks" im inclined to believe the initial joke was something like "Who would want canned socks"
And they came up with someone who looked like they loved canned socks no matter what weird possibility that could be.
@@prowlerrex213 well no sh!t Sherlock he's an animatronic
i have this headcanon, that the sparky rumor was spread in universe too about the secret fifth animatronic at freddy fazbears pizza. children kept sneaking backstage and into the saferoom to find sparky and they kept disappearing (they were murdered by william obviously). it became such a big problem, fazbears pizza had to officially make an announcement that sparky never existed.
Fazbears pizza:
Telling William to fucking stop killing children ❌
Saying that Sparky never existed ✅
Idk if this is helpful info, but I think Sparky the dog was created by another youtuber called LS Mark, I could be wrong tho
That actually makes sense. We need to add this to the timeline.
@@Evnv I don't think so
@@Evnv NO, He was a HOAX from 2014. i stg. he was made by a reddit user as a hoax. he isn't real.
I just realized how dark those Garfield flash games were . I remember playing them as a kid and it would spook the daylight out of me. it was just creepy but I loved it.
I'm so glad that more people are learning about Lyman, who was my favorite Garfield character as a kid. I think I was ahead of my time as a child because I created the Garfield Lyman death theory on a piece of paper and shared it to people at my school before it became a big thing on the internet.
Perhaps the theory was stolen from you. You never know, maybe you're the real reason it spread.
as someone very, *very* interested in Garfield, i'm glad Lyman was talked about here. his disappearance is really interesting to me, and i'm a little sad about it because i miss seeing Lyman appear in the comics. seeing him was like seeing an old friend after a while (which is fitting, considering Lyman is a college friend of Jon). it's also worse off for Jon because now, apart from Liz, Jon doesn't really have a friend he can talk to. yeah, he has Garfield, but Garfield doesn't respond, he just thinks. i wonder what really happened to the guy, considering the Scary Scavenger Hunt likely isn't canon.
also, you _cannot_ convince me Garfield Show Lyman isn't an impostor. he looks completely different! this "Lyman" was a ruse sent by the government himself to spy on Jon and--
I agree, but I actually grew up with the Garfield comics. I had a lot of these volumes of the original comic strips, and since Lyman was my favorite character, I was always so confused as to why he disappeared. I really hope he gets at least brought up again, he was treated so unfairly and I really liked him so it was a shame.
I love Garfield as well. And the Lyman in the Garfield Show IS AN IMPOSTER.
@@zeepsterd 1:17 - 2:55 - 8:51
I love Lyman so much he is 100% the best Garfield character
I'm not a fan, so I never knew he existed.
But the fact that Jon apparently has him chained in his basement is kinda funny to me
In all honesty, the concept about a character being easily forgotten would have probably work if it was done in a humorous fashion: a reboot of the All My Children show where there's a dramatic novella style episode based around the entire family thinking Bobby was locked from the inside of the attic while they were out at a restaurant after finding a skeleton with a shirt that Bobby always wore when they were around which ends up escalating into the entire town having ridiculous secrets uncovered that points to someone else that was closer to the house with each reveal, only to have Bobby coming back from summer camp to the entire town trying to summon the ghost of Bobby to reveal the culprit that locked him in the attic only for him to be confused about what's going on and everybody quickly ignoring the entire incident to question where Bobby was only for him to say that he went to get his hiking boots. An added bonus would be an episode about Bobby's summer camp experience being the equivalent of a Hardy Boys style show with all the mystery that it entails.
This is one of the greatest ideas I’ve ever seen proposed.
Speaking of Lost Disney Characters, an Interessing one is not a character but a Place, Beasty Kingdom. It was supposed to be a area in Animal Kingdom which would had been dedicated to Dragons and Fantasy Creatures, but it was cancelled because Michael Eisner thought it was too expansive. The only time the area was even mentioned was a short lived passing atraction where a cave would breath fire and smoke, implicating that there was a Dragon inside the Cave.
That cave would've had an actual dragon animatronic, but the funds for it were used instead for the animatronic Arlo.
My old roommate mentioned this to me when we first started going to the park together bc she’s a huge AK fan (I’m not) and was convincing me to go with her more. She showed me a few things that seemed to be leftover from the original plan of Beastly Kingdom. In the parking lot we found some gates or posts with an engraved animal pattern including a dragon. Also in the parking lot, one of the tram stops is called “unicorn” which is strange as the others are named after real animals, except for Yeti, which that IS in the park. Lastly, which I thought was a bit of a stretch, is a rock formation that looks like a dragon. Like I said, a stretch, but the rest WAS true so who knows!
This one is pretty minor, but could still be interesting: In the Disney XD sitcom, "Kickin' It", there was a main character named Eddie, he was featured in the first two seasons, but then disappeared for the third and fourth season and was never mentioned again.
Similarly, the show "Bunk'd" got rid of HALF of its original cast beginning in the third season. This was made even weirder by the fact that at the end of season 3, the other half also left, but were given actual in story explanations for leaving.
I agree with you. Every time I start the new season, I wondered what happened to him.
Funny thing. Eddie’s actor left the show to take care of his grandmother and wanted to finish high school and college. He explained it on Instagram. Though I don’t know if he ever mentioned anything about returning to the show
I respect his decision. But it just would’ve been nice for any references to him as a small tribute
As for the show itself Milton’s actor said on twitch that the explanation would’ve been that he went to Australia for a missionary trip but the line was cut from the show
Which to me. Implies there were cut scenes that show(at least for early episodes) the characters referencing Eddie
Here's an example: Lottie the Otter from Winnie the Pooh
She only ever appeared in one book "Return to the Hundred Acre Wood" where she was a main character. But she never made an appearance after that, at all
Another example of this would be Married With Children's Seven, similar to the other sitcom examples though this one ends more like Married with Children, so Seven was Peg's nephew, son of Zemus Wanker and Ida Mae Wanker (played by Bobcat Goldthwait and Linda Blair) they dropped him off to the Bundy's because they don't want to take care of him and the city dump is too far away. He appeared on the seventh season of Married with Children in a handful of episodes, then disappeared without any explanation other than a quick mention by the DArcys that he showed up in their house and won't leave. They claim they want to rename him, and possibly begin taking care of him, but that's the last time he is referred to. However, in season eight, in the episode "Kelly Knows Something", Kelly is studying for a trivia show. As she learns new information, you visually see her forgetting other things. One thing that "pops out of her head" is an image of Seven. There is a scene where a carton of milk is held up at the Bundy's breakfast table and a picture of Seven is shown on the carton under the heading "Missing" but the Bundys don't seem to notice, or care. The milk carton with the picture of Seven under the "Missing" heading was also prominently featured in the episode "Ride Scare".
D
In the show Nicky Ricky Dicky and Dawn. One of the show's main characters dicky was gone for most of the last season. Even in the finale he's no were to be found.
What?!? I watched that show so much! How did i never know that
Maybe it was around the time the actor starred in Umbrella academy?
That's....strange. they didn't give any explanation for the characters disappearance?
I remember that! Though apparently the explanation was he shipped himself to Australia. That’s what Wikipedia said and I remember seeing it in the show
Also Aidan Gallagher, the actor in the Umbrella Academy plays Nicky not Dicky
I watched this show so lol
@@everythingz888 now just imagine him never returning...
The Rocket Ship Crew from Songs from the Black Hole might be the most disturbing lost characters of them all. It’s legend among us Weezer bros. A young couple that was supposed to be the focus of an epic concept album, until they just went missing one day. No one knows where they went, or if they’re even still alive. Some say The Lawn Gnome from Pinkerton killed them and stole material from the album. The Guy from Hurley has been trying to solve the case for years. He’s really passionate about it, I don’t know if I should be the one to tell him that he’ll never find out what happened because he’s… not exactly the smartest. If I had to guess, The Monster from EWBAITE ate the Rocket ship and it affected his brain, compelling him to write The Futurescope Trilogy. But wherever they are, I hope they’re having an epic party, and maybe they’ll come back to the Weezer album cover family one day with an album that has multiple Lil’ Wayne features. Don’t stop partying, -Sidney
Some kinda-lost characters I know about are Winzaleo, Eijkman, and Caineghis from JoJo part 1. They're mentioned in a small backstory dump in the original manga that gets left out of the anime, and are even given a slighty-greater role in the PS2 adaptation of Phantom Blood.
Another character I know about is Namko (or the Namco Heroine depending on who you ask) a mascot used by Namco's console-porting team Namcot, to put on posters and box art for random sports-themed games they were releasing.
Araki forgot
No photos of Gorochu have ever been revealed. Gorochu's backsprite was discovered in the beta data for Red & Blue, but any other pictures you might have seen are either hoaxes or fanart. We don't actually know what it would've looked like -- we've seen its backsprite, and we've been told that it has horns. Unfortunately none of us know whether its design was based or not -- any picture online of Gorochu from the front is a fake.
@SooB Gaming 2.0 could you elaborate more?
I wouldn't say "fake" since the main art people tout around as the "official" Gorochu art wasn't made to fool people. It was an artist's depiction of what it could have looked like. And also it goes around uncredited because screw artists I guess. :/
If I remember right the Garfield cartoon had an imposter Lyman that someone sent to cover up the disappearence of the real one, so Garfield and crew go to the amazon rain Forrest and they find the real one living with big foot or something
I would like to say, I did NOT just chain him up in my basement!
*I used him for my lasagnas.*
YOU SOCIOPATH!
Here’s one lost character I know myself:
Rachel Wilson from the amazing world of Gumball
She was Tobias’s sister and appeared in season one. But after her first and only major appearance in the party, she was never seen again, only brief appearances and she was gone from the show. I want to know, what happened to her.
It's stated in Darwin's yearbook that she went to college.
It implied that she ends up being consumed by the Void that is hidden under Elmore.
@@poweroffriendship2.0 it’s cannon that she went to college
Another good case of chuck Cunningham syndrome is Launch from Dragon Ball. The creator literally just forgot about her and eventually she just faded out of existence from the series lol
Ah yes, Launch appeared for the majority of the original Dragon Ball anime and the first half of the manga. Other than some appearances in early episodes of DBZ, she's only really seen if flashbacks
She did show up at the end of the Buu Saga though
This is the only example I can think of where the explanation was "The author forgot they existed". She had like 2 cameo shots for the entirety of DBZ that were added to the anime, but she was never part of the anime.
And then she even shows up a few times in the background of the Goku and Friends special mini-movie (The one with Vegeta's brother).
Given Akira's memory problems, I'm surprised this hasn't happened again since.
Don't forget Mercenary Tao as well
Wasn't she in the game? Or am I stupid lmao
Lyman's situation kinda reminds of what happened with Uncle Max in Calvin and Hobbes. He was meant to be introduced as a reoccurring character, but he ended up being shelved after less than a month due to Watterson failing to think of interactions between him and the cast, largely due to the fact that Max couldn't call them by their names because Watterson wanted to keep them nameless.
Something also of note is that, in the original Magic School Bus books, there were a decent handful of students who never appeared in the cartoon, such as Shirley and Gregory.
PLEASE MAKE A PART THREE. I LOVE FINDING FORGOTTEN CHARACTERS
As i used to like pokemon, people thinking gorochu is a “lost” character is weird. I found out about gorochu in 2019 because youtubers talked about him
It IS a lost Pokemon, because it was never used.
I remember Judy... I got so confused when she vanished after season 3. I'm not 100%, but I seem to remember a post somewhere on the dedicated Wiki for the show that the creaters didn't really have any more room or ideas for Judy, so she dissapeared after season 2 finished.
i actually remember a few really niche lost garfield characters, as a kid i was a garfield fanatic, i watched like most the shows and movies and my grandma knew this and showed me garfield comics, and one thing i vividly remember is that there were a bunch of unique mailmen that garfield used to scare off, it was like a play on the dogs scaring off mailmen, and this isnt lost, its actually upheld pretty well, but one thing that was lost about it, was the unique mailmen, they used to all look quite different from comic to comic, different facial structure, suit designs, ect., but im assuming it eventually got too tedius and they were all replaced with like maybe 1-3 mailmen that would alternate, im pretty sure eventually it got down to 1 and i think in the garfield show it was written off as all the other mailmen getting too scared to come back to the house, just as a funny little detail, but seriously there are a ton of nameless, unique, and detailed mailmen completely lost to time and its one of the only lost characters, or rather lost set of characters i can remember, the only mailman that i could find with a name was "herman post", but theres one with a bigger chin, hat over his eyes, more fat, he looks quite distinct from herman, theres one without distinct cheek bones and it makes him stand out alot from many of the mailmen, he even looks closer to jon, and the only thing that differentiates him visually from jon is that he has black hair with a black mustache, but in terms of facial structure he seems to be STRIKINGLY close to jon, i dont know why all these random unique mailmen were just scrapped but i seriously challenge anybody to find the black haired one or the one without cheekbones or anything other than herman post in say.. the garfield show or any newer iteration of garfield
update: something i also remember fondly about the different mailmen is that herman post would always learn from garfield attacking him and adapt, doing junk like karate or sneaking in through the cat door in the back of the house, but the other mailmen however, would act like soft reboots of herman, always knowing nothing and allowing garfield to attack them normally like an unsuspecting mailman, before they run off and are never seen again, with the next episode showing herman post again, just doing his average sneaking around and trying to outsmart garfield, i think hes only ever suceeded in that like 3 or so times by the way
also something i may be remembering wrong is the existance of garfields father, i remember he had an uncle but it turns out that was his grandfather and i was remembering it wrong, but i remember he had a father completely seperate from his uncle and he was only shown briefly in a few shots in the background, just doing his thing, whatever that may be, i can hardly remember any facts about it but i know something happened to him and he was only ever shown in shots where garfield was recalling memories or something, he was never a main part of garfields on-screen family
You've just made me become massively fascinated with this subject. You've created this need. So it is your responsibility to make a part 3!
Hade Vansen made one appearance on WWE SmackDown in 2008, appearing only in a pre-taped vignette. He was never seen or mentioned again. What makes this even wilder is that he was originally planned to feud with The Undertaker, one of the most important wrestlers in the history of the company
That's why i never heard of him
I've got a few for a part 3
Splats (Sonic the Hedgehog): One of the most famous lost characters, a badnik in the first game that was cut at the 11th hour. It still made appearances in Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog (1993) and Fleetway's Sonic the Comic (1993). Splats has made appearances in the 2013 remake of the first Sonic game, and most recently, in Sonic Mania.
Ika the Legendary Super Saiyan (Dragon Ball): A character from a creepypasta of a lost DBZ film. Supposedly Goku's long-lost sister that made an appearance in a TV film, said film featured real gore and so was quickly banned and replaced by the film Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan. As stated this one is completely fake.
Big Liger (Redman/Ultra Series): A moth-like kaiju that was meant to appear in Redman (1972), a low-budget spin off to the Ultraman series. Was scrapped due to Redman's budget being too low for them to make a brand new Kaiju. However, Big Liger has appeared in Redman: The Kaiju Hunter (2017), a comic book sequel.
Launch (Dragon Ball): One of the main cast in the original Dragon Ball anime and first half of the manga. Launch is a character with an extreme bipolar disorder, whenever she sneezed she either turned into a ditzy, blue-haired and gentle girl, or an extreme, violent, gun wielding, blonde-haired girl. Despite a few appearances in early episodes of DBZ, and one episode during the Majin Buu arc, Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama says he forgot that she existed.
Splats also appeared in one of the McDonald's toys despite never appeared in the game.
Im the biggest fan of sonic and i didn't know that
As cool as Bagan is, I'm glad we got Destroyah instead. Honestly, I think leaving him as a SNES character was the best for him.
Destroyah is really cool, I will give you that.
Cut characters are really interesting, and I'm glad you're covering the topic a lot more!
A lost character I know from Hanazuki: Full of Treasures (An obscure Hasbro internet cartoon) is Moonzuki. They only ever appeared in Hasbro's Toy Fair 2017 panels. Thankfully, a blog post from Equestria Daily was able to describe their only appearance:
"Hana Zuki plug from Megan. Clip of Hana learning from the Moon Zuki about her role in the world!"
However, fundogmo, a titmouse employee who worked on Hanazuki, has spoken about Moonzuki's supposed existence on Twitter multiple times.
5:11 YOOOOOOOO I GOT MENTIONED!
(But quick correction, Mothra vs Bagan AFAIK was not the original version of Godzilla vs Mothra, but was a spin-off film starring Mothra that got canned after Godzilla vs Biollante did poorly at the box office. The movie possibly got reworked into Rebirth of Mothra, which Bagan was ALSO planned for, only to be replaced with Death Ghidorah. And Miranda Piker wasn’t in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory novel, she was scrapped FROM the novel.)
EDIT: and if we get to a third one, I’m just gonna suggest Charlotte Braun from Peanuts. She was a loud, obnoxious counterpart to Charlie Brown that readers hated. When one fan wrote a letter to Charles Shultz requesting she be removed, Shultz responded that he will but that fan will have the death of a child on their conscience. Along with a drawing of Charlotte with an axe in her head.
CONGRATSSS
What the hell were they thinking when it came to Sunflower 😭 that’s actually so messed up
I can think of 2:
Jives from Lazy Town: Ok so before it was a TV show, there were a pair of theater plays . Jives was this lanky boy who was very lazy and malnourished. He showed up in both plays and there was even a puppet made for him for like... The show's pre-pilot? (As you can see, I'm not 100% sure of what I'm talking about). But yeah, there are actually a bunch more scrapped Lazy Town characters from the plays who don't show up in the TV show, like this talking rooster or some cop guy. But yeah, Jives is the most striking one I guess because he was like... one of the main kids during his time as a character.
The other one is Barry from Thomas The Tank Engine: So basically there was a time when the books the show is based off of really needed to go head to toe with the tv show. And one of the authors had an idea for this story titled "Barry the Rescue Engine", which would introduce the aforementioned. However, the story ended up not coming out because they didn't want to introduce more characters into the TV show, make models and all that stuff. So we never got Barry the Rescue Engine.
And yeah, check it out if you want. May find something interesting there
0:09 that character only appears at a sing which shows a very specific time on it in undertale, you can change your computers time to trigger the event which summons them.
0:24 her name was obsidian, in steven universe she was gonna be a character and was in an official sketch book that rebecca sugar okayed everything in, she apologized and that was basically it.
I hope Bagan gets into the Monsterverse. Would be awesome!
bagan sounds like a super cool kaiju, sad he was never used
gorochu is really cool too. looking at old versions or unused pokemon is really fascinating to think about if they were actually in the games.
@chase studios what
Seeing Bagan talked about was a welcome surprise, I never thought I would hear anyone talk about him outside of kaiju-focused content.
Been watching bro since like 2015 glad I found you and hope you've been doing good. Also I hope you revisit some old stuff I'd like a modern perspective on some old stuff you've reviewed. Love you bro
Happy 4th of July, love to see you touching lost characters, even if some of these are fake lol.
- Sparky the Dog is finally canonized into the FNaF Movie with a Whole Diner to his name, and makes a cameo as an actual animatronic.
- Bobby Martin's Actor was apparently located now.
Loved the video, but you messed up big time on the Gorochu part. Gorochu was described as a god of thunder with horns and fangs, but we've never seen any official images from Gamefreak. The closest we have is the backsprite from the Red and Blue Prototype leak. There is no front sprite or offical artwork to speak of.
My bad! I’ll do better next time. Thanks for correcting me!
@@zeepsterd no problem chief, was still a great watch!
That Gorochu design isn't entirely official, it's fanmade. It's based on a leaked back sprite and a description that it had horns.
the ultimate lost character is every single spooky character in a early 2010s creepypasta
An interesting character to me is Baphomet, an elder demon who was planned for the game Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance but seemingly cut pretty early on with all that exists of him being a piece of concept art which was unlockable through the kyrpt. The rumored reason for him being cut is also pretty interesting as Baphomet is named and somewhat designed after a figure commonly associated with cults among other things, and people believe he was cut to avoid any possible controversy from that.
DUDE, you just brought back MEMORIES with Sparky!
I always envisioned Warupichi as a goth dominatrix kind of woman (minus the skimpy clothes cause ya know, Mario is for all ages.)
I’m surprised you didn’t mention Eddie’s disappearance in Kickn’ it after he disappeared after season 2 and wasn’t even mentioned ONCE
When Olivia Holt left the show in season 4 they still acknowledged her existence and wrote that her character went to Japan and still had occasional appearances
But also in season 4 they had an episode where Jack never came to the Dojo and He remembered Milton but seemed to not even acknowledge Eddie at all who was (along with Milton) his closest friend
I don’t know if this counts but fugo from jojo part 5, at the mid point when they betray the boss, everyone does except him who is never seen again except for in an noncanon novel, he was supposed to join them and then betray them but araki wasn’t doing so well mental health wise so fugo just disappeared, only ever fighting once.
I wouldnt really say that fugo was a lost character its not like he was scrapped he was supposed to die originally (i think at least) but didnt because araki couldnt handle doing that with his mental state at the time also its not like he was removed without reason he was removed with the reason that he didnt want to betray the boss and get himself killed
@@boomafloom yeah, he is in a weird state between IMO because he was gonna come back as a betrayer to our main. Characters but just didn’t

I was expecting for you to talk about the Civilian from TF2!
He has a lot of stuff to be talked about, specially on how the tf2 fanbase included him in a 2 fan mods (TF2 Classic and Open Fortress) or how he actually was part of Team Fortress Classic 1999
his fan models and scrapped fan models or actually official designs and references to him in game.
i Hope i see him in the next video tho
When I saw Miranda Mary Piker and Marvin Prune's names come up on screen I lost it, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has ruined me I am obsessed with this stupid franchise.
I’d absolutely love if you covered Touhou 6’s Rin Satsuki who is almost a completely missing character beside one line of code left in the game next to the other playable characters. I wish she had more light brought to her as it’s such a famous game series yet not many fans even know of her lack of existing.
Jazz from the Burger King Kids Club counts as a lost character I believe. She was an extra member added late into the group's use by Burger King in their marketing, so there's barely any media that she shows up in and even then some of it is lost to time.
love ur vids you give me motivation to make videoss!!!
Glad you enjoy them!
I have a few lost characters you should probably research:
Fred Flintstone Jr from the Flintstones. I remember reading that before deciding on Pebbles, the producers wanted Fred a and Wilma to have a boy named Fred Jr. and there is a little golden book where Fred, Wilma and Fred Jr appear on the cover.
Claire from the Seinfeld pilot, Back when it was called The Seinfeld Chronicles, Jerry and George went to a Deli instead of the iconic Monk's Cafe, where their waitress friend, Claire played by Lee Garington was supposed to be the female lead before Elaine, but was changed like a lot of things in the pilot. She was never mentioned or seen again but in the finale, they referenced the first conversation they had in the pilot so they remember the convo but not her.
Gaimon from One Piece, even though Eiichiro Oda said he was his favorite character, we've never seen or heard from him ever again.
The same can be said for Launch and Mercenary Tao from Dragon Ball.
RIP Bagan, he was done dirtier than Varan
We've reached over 4K likes! Part 3? Please have Polygon Man, the intended PlayStation mascot that was dumped because of a shading problem, he was brought back in PlayStation All Stars, but nowhere else!
1:37 this unlocked a fucking core memory within me. There was an Ultraman Crossover movie that me and my brother used to watched all the time. It was titled "Ultraman Tiga, Dyna, and Gaia" if I recalled correctly. The final villain was a monster named "King of Mons" that could split intro three: a flying monter, a swimming monster, and a walking monster. Each of the Ultramen fought them one-by-one.
Keep these videos coming
Great video! If we're talking lost characters, I gotta bring up Ryo Akiyama from Digimon. While he did appear in several things (making cameos in the first 2 seasons of Digimon and the third season known as "Tamers"), he never appeared again after that. He originated from the Adventure games, which told the story of how he came to the Digital world and saved the other Digidestined from a bunch of their old villains.
The game eventually went on to tell its own lore about Ryo and his popularity grew, to the point where he started making cameos in both the shows and some of the movies. It got so much that he was eventually brought into Tamers, with a game explaining how it was possible that he ended up in a new universe. After that though, his immense popularity died and he just never appeared in any more games or shows.
Hell, when Digimon Adventure got rebooted, they brought back Ryo's villain from the games: Milleniumon. However, Ryo was just nowhere to be seen in the new show, despite his backstory in the games being tied quite a bit to this particular Digimon. It gets even weirder when you consider the fact that Ryo is tied to Ken's (who was the villain of the first arc of the second season, back when he was the Digimon Emperor) backstory and even makes a cameo in that season. But he's never mentioned by name in that show, nor does Ken ever bring him up in the new movies.
Don’t forget that abandoned plot line in season 2 where Kari was somehow transported to a different dimension or something where there’s that cthulhu digimon
@@TheKing-uu7jn Oh right! I think that was with Daemon and the Dark Ocean. Actually, they abandoned that twice since they brought back the Dark Ocean in Tri and STILL haven't done anything with it.
I think it’d be cool if you made more vids on lost characters :)
I’d say Captain Syrup is what Warupeachi would be in practice. Instead of a princess, you get a pirate, and she’s a bad guy with her own army. There was already a character who filled that role
Adding onto the Warupichi (or Wapeach) entry, Miyamoto was SO incensed by the idea of her, that he not only scrapped her, he even took his anger out on Waluigi and vowed to never let him appear outside of spin-offs. He can't appear in mainline titles, WarioWare, just the sports, karting, and party games, and that Itadaki Street spinoff where Mario and Dragon Quest characters engaged in cutthroat capitalism.
A scrapped video game character that I think is super interesting is moonjumper from “a hat in time”. You see, moonjumper was pretty planed out plot wise before he was scrapped leading to a lot of interest in him and other scraped characters from a hat in time. Because of this the fan base for the game just kinda latched on to him making fan art, ships, cosplay and lots of other things, this has gotten to the point where I’ve seen people who joined the fan base not realise he isn’t even in the game at first as there is more content for him then most other characters. I think the whole thing is super wild/cool and it’s nice to see people talk about cut content so much. Also keep up the amazing work I love these lost character videos!
Thor the inventor and that one time guy with the wall shadow friend
Now I want a psychological horror about the monster who roams family sitcoms stealing characters and erasing them from existence
RIP Lyman.
A true friend.
When i was a kid(around 8 or 9) i was obsessed with the garfield game. I would play it every day. Thanks for reminding me it still exists.
I'm so glad someone is finally talking about my boi Bagan. I just want him in a future movie Toho or Legendary. Maybe he could be the final boss of the Monsterverse if they don't use Destoroyah.
He deserves justice.
@@zeepsterd Totally agree
@@zeepsterd i know i'm pinging you specifically but didn't bagan appear in that godzilla studio tour game also from the 90s?
Those Garfield flashgames take me back. I remember being so confused as to who the Hell this random chained up guy was, and that's even after I had read decades of the archived comics because I flatout forgot about his character after he disappeared for so long
For the longest time I thought you were referring to Baragon when you were talking about Bagan and was confused as to why he was considered lost when he's been in a bunch of Godzilla related media.
Two other lost characters I can think of are
Penny from 101 Dalmation The Series (I don't think there's much to say about her except she exsist and mightve been in the pilot for the show (as she was drawn in a promo for the show) I don't even know if her name is offcial bur she was the first character that I thought of (aside from maybe a few in this and the last video) when hearing lost character)
Brutus from Animal Crossing (well Brutus isn't real but I think it would be cool to see him covered in this series)
Nice video! I wanted to say that super Godzilla was not bagans only appearance he also appeared in a Godzilla movie maker game
Please make a part 3 these are very interesting
Great video please make a part 3
I will! :)
@@zeepsterd is they a footage of the episode of bobby martins skeleton in all of my children
If there is a part 3, you should put Charlotte Braun. The lost peanuts character
not sure if she’s been mentioned before, but Brooklyn Nine-Nine has a lost character.
in the first/pilot episode, when Terry is telling Holt about all the main characters (thus introducing them to the audience), she points to Hitchcock and Scully standing with a woman while they all drink coffee. Terry refers to the three as “Scully, Hitchcock, and Daniels.” so there was supposed to be a woman named Daniels in the show, seemingly friends with Hitchcock and Scully so i assume she would’ve had a similar comic relief-type role to them.
she was never seen past the pilot, so this just seems to be a case of the creators trialing a character and realising they don’t want said character in the rest of the show, or maybe the actress became unavailable. but it’s still very interesting to me.
i believe Dan Goor said at some point that the show would eventually tell us what happened to Daniels, but clearly it never did.
I was hoping in the last video you'd mention Yummer!
Let's gooo baby new video
😎😎😎
7:52 technically daisy is the the waluigi version of peach
came back to this video after the new wapeach update!!
Make more of these I like this kind of content
Seeing Bagan in the Monster verse would make my day. Godzilla fan here with ya buddy.
Seeing my FNAF sparky wallpaper on the thumbnail... It makes me happy :)
I can't believe y'all are forgetting about my homie Bond Man, the unused Mega Man 1 robot master
Heck, when you use the yummer, even Mr. Krabs is scared of him
DUDE. I swear, I actually had a dream once where there was an animatronic dog named sparky that, like, tried to eat me or something, but I couldn't clearly see how it looked like because it was dark in my dream.
Please make a part 3 of this series
it's coming!
I can’t wait to do a part 3
In the original mario party, there was a character called Koopa Kid, he predates bowser junior, and has clones, they were sorta like bowser lackeys, but after mario party seven, he never appeared again
0:19 bros got that louie build
I know a little bit more about marvin prune so supposedly his elimination was supposed to come after mikes and there was this big forest and there were faries there idk how marvin pissed them of but the faries used magic on him and plums started growing in his skin so he got taken away.
Morgan from Boy Meets World, she was the youngest kid and then stopped appearing or being mentioned. Eventually she had been recast and they said she was in time out for a very long time
A little something extra as this video came out before it, an animatronic shell of sparky could be seen in the parts and service room in the fnaf movie and the diner that matpat worked at was named after him too.
Some more examples of Lost Characters I can think of:
Meicoomon's unamed child and baby forms (Digimon TRI movies; Digimon actually have a LOT of lost characters)
The Flashback man (Jojo part 8)
Miho Nozaka (Yugioh Season 0)
Milpo Sclint (Gundam, more of a Graggle Simpson situation)
Belokk (Mortal Kombat Gold)
Ash Williams (Mortal Kombat 11)
Good video!.
I think another interesting lost character is Barry the Rescue Engine from the Railway Series. From what I know he was a British Rail 2MT recovered from Barrys Scrap Yard and sent to work on Sodor. His book was scrapped because the publishers wanted more stories about Thomas.
Although he may be cut from Red and Blue, I’ll be damned if they bring him back as a Mega-Evolution for Raichu
As a kaiju fan, I've heard of bagan before but didn't know much about him. Poor bagan got done dirty.
