@@jurikurthambarskjelfir3533 Imagine calling the Empire, who’s gearing up to oust the Dominion, “short sighted.” 😆
@@Aden_III You never learn, do you? The Empire cannot oust the Dominion, with all its incompetence and corruption. The Stormcloak and Redguard army will defeat them.

I remember there was a vid of someone with a bard mod who sang Age of Oppression to the grumpy jarls in the basement. That was funny.
More like Age of Depression
Is there a mod with their executions? It's kinda strange they stay there after the Civil War. I'm guessing that's a bug.
@@antiochus87 Not a bug
It's just... So somber, Elisif remains forever as the widow of Solitude. It's fitting really, the puppet Jarl alone on her throne, paraded by her conquerers, not much different from when the Empire was in control, except the one controlling her is also her husband's killer
And Balgruuf at the end... Ouch
Also I find it ironic how Ulfric only trusted in the democratic process of the Moot only, and only when all of the Jarls are on his side
I wouldn't call the Moot democratic.
@@vulkanofnocturne it was an election by all the Jarls of the hold for a High King, it might not be as democratic as electing a Prime Minister or President, but it is still a democratic process
Since when are monarchies democratic?
@@IoanCenturion idk, since sweden I guess
@@alex_ho The Jarls vote for the High King and the Jarls themselves are hereditary nobles who inhereted their roles, they weren't voted by the people. Nowhere in the process are the citizens involved, so I wouldn't call the Moot democratic.
Ever since martin septim died, tamriel has fallen to shit.
He would've made an astonishing emperor.
He was an astonishing emperor for as long as he was able
Alas, he bore the Sean Bean curse
Exactly, the Septim Empire died with him. This Empire, the Mede Empire is only a shadow of what the Empire represented and is a subyugated and declining government. Skyrim doesn't needs them.
Arguably the greatest Septim emperor who ever lived besides Tiber
It's annoying to hear Elisif say she had the rightful claim to be high queen. That isn't how it works in Skyrim. Whenever the high king/queen dies, all of jarls meet to decide the new high king/queen and they are essentially equals in that moment. She has no more claim than any other jarl and no more so because she was married to the former high king. I think Balgruuf would be best suited to be high king, that decision goes to the jarls who vote between themselves.
From my understanding the Moot in the way you described it is how it should work in theory, in practice however the process has been altered through modern times as more of a formality than an actual election for choosing the next High King/Queen; by the time Skyrim takes place the position of High King/Queen would automatically go to the Jarl of Solitude due to their Imperialistic loyalty and support so that's where Elisif gets her ideas of her "rightful place as High Queen" whereas Ulfric's version of the Moot, despite being rigged through his supporters, is technically still the more traditionally accurate of the two of how the Moot should work. Either way I personally never side with the Imperials, and it feels way better to lay siege to Solitude than Windhelm and seeing my boy Talos getting worshipped again is the icing on the cake.
@@elianrodriguez7318 The Empire controlled the Moot ever since they gained control of Skyrim, which is why every High King was conveniently from Solitude, the most Imperialised city in Skyrim. The Empire also prevented the Moot from meeting after Torygg's death, because Empire was afraid of Ulfric being elected.
@@jurikurthambarskjelfir3533 I remember always thinking it was Ulfric that prevented the meeting of the Moot since on the chance that the other Jarls would appoint Elisif as High Queen then it would legitimize her claim to the title both politically and in a traditional manner, guess I'm gonna have to go back and do another playthrough on Skyrim again. Kinda has me wondering how ES6 is going to handle the events that took place in Skyrim.
Kyne took Shors place after Shors deatg, makes sense from a cultural POV
@@jurikurthambarskjelfir3533 This is all literally factually incorrect... The Empire is literally advocating for the Moot to meet - Ulfric stands in its way.
Get your Stormcloak rhetoric out of here.
Glad the Talos bust restored in the temple of the Divinies in Solitude after stormcloak victory

“Now it would seem Ulfric has his wish, and there truly is no justice in the world.”
Justice? Where was justice when the Imperials nearly cut my head off when I wasn’t even on the list? Where was justice when the Thalmor forced the hand of the Imperials to imprison Ulfric after he retook Markarth? Where was justice when Roggvir was executed without a trial? Where was justice when Thonar Silver Blood framed me for Eltyr’s murder and locked me up in Chidna Mine?”
Dont act like you know what justice is Elisif
Did you not follow Ralof into the Keep? That captain at Helgen is dead, that not justice enough for you?
Ulfric's imprisonment at Markarth was justice. He got what was coming for him like the dirty Thalmor collaborator he was.
Roggvir was imprisoned for months before his execution, he knowingly and willingly let Ulfric escape Solitude - making him guilty of treason.
Thonar Silver-Blood is one of Ulfric's lackeys.
Bullshit @dutchpatriot17 The Empire put the blame on Ulfric for the Markath Incident regarding the Talos worship.
The Silverbloods are much better than Maven Bitch Brair, why cuz they subjugate those Heretical Fiend worshipping.
Oh and that Cunt Siddgeir Lavishly enjoying his meal and luxury like a punk ass mf. Should killed him during the Dsrk Brotherhood quest like Maro and Amand Montiere.
@@dutchpatriot171. The Imperials should deal with their own, not leaveit to chance.
2. Ulfric is not collaborating with the thalmor. His civil war is useful to the Thalmor and is considered an asset because he is keeping the empire weak.
3. Ulfric killed Torrygg in a just duel, as per nordic customs. It is not treason to aid Ulfric.
@@haroldbalzac6336 1. The Empire has military tribunals for its officers who step out of line. Does Ulfric?

Wen Elder Scrolls 6.
Imperials are often people with little else in life, they are mostly little boys.
As long as people plays Skyrim, Bethesda can still milk it so they won't release Elder Scrolls 6 yet.
Balgruuf could not be more wrong about Ulfric he may be ambitous but you cannot deny his love for Skyrim and her people. As he said Skyrim does not belong to him he belongs to her
Ulfric literally fights because he lusts for the throne. Anything else comes second.
@dutchpatriot17 EVERYONE lust after the throne!

The question is what they are going to do with the power that comes with it, once they obtain it.
@@evgenigenov3433 Prove it.
I'm siding with the imperials, but that doesn't mean I like the thalmors. Heck, if I see a thalmor while wandering skyrim, I would kill 'em.
They’re still worshiping Talos in secret on the imperial side so I side with them plus they are merely just tolerating the thalmor because of the war that devastated the empire. So you can still go out and can kill thalmor agents and justicars.
thats exactly what General Tullious say, thats why i also side with the empire
@@TheEmpiresStrongest Funny because I've seen Legion supporters IRL not shut up about how "terrible" Talos was. Makes you wonder their real loyalties.
But that would be unwise in lore. If you kill a Thalmor, you'll be marked by them forever. They may even ask General Tullius to deliver you to them.
Tullius is aware that he is a puppet, the only difference between him and Ulfric is that Tullius is AWARE that his strings are pulled. You can hear that during the Thalmor party.
@@WarmRepeat no one should know that I kill one.
Honestly With The Jarl Balgruff Situation I Weigh That Out With The Fact Three Other Imperial Jarls Are Admittedly Worse. Falkreath's Jarl Let's Bandits Raid His Hold Purposely, Riften's Jarl Literally Let's The Thieves Guild Operate Continually, And Markarth's Is Ruled By A Puppet To A Bunch Of Mobsters.
I can apply the same logic in return ... under the Stormcloaks Riftens Jarl is weak and has no control, Markarth is openly ruled by those Mobsters, Dawnstars Jarl is paranoid and impulsive, Winterholds Jarl is an ignorant fool etc.
Both sides actually mirror each other quite perfectly
I prefer the thieves guild over the silverblood enslavement .
@@tebesnigrum6650 Yea But There's A Huge Moral Difference Dawnstar's Jarl Hates Imperials But Still Allows Former Legionaries To Stay, Winterhold's Jarl Is Probable In Believing The College Caused The Collapse, And Riften's Jarl At Least Doesn't Condone The Thieves Guild
The fact that every word you’ve typed starts with a capital letter is giving me a headache.
@@GazzyD Same It's Really Annoying, I Mean Who Would Do Such A Thing
I just can't backstab Balgruuf by supporting Ulfric. It doesn't feel right
Between Balgruuf hating you for the rest of time, and Ulfric being EXTREMELY racist towards Khajiit and Argonians, it simply doesn't feel right to side with the Stormcloaks. I truly think Ulfric's Skyrim is a worse place than the Empire's Skyrim.
Plus, I think when the Thalmor come to reclaim Skyrim, Ulfric won't stand a gods-damned chance against them. They'll snuff him and his little rebellion out, and then we don't have an Empire-controlled Skyrim. We have a Thalmor-controlled Skyrim. And that PROBABLY means a Nord Genocide.
Better to throw away balgruff. He can’t see the picture much less his kids being messed up.
Lol theres no way in hell the thalmor can do shit to the stormcloaks im the dragonborn I can control time and bend the will of those around me with my voice alone.
The truth of the civil war debate is it doesnt matter who you side with all that matters is ending the civil war as quickly as possible so both sides dont keep losing troops and resources
@@Tinkatube have you forgot about the dragonborn being at their side? they would rekt the thalmor so bad the stormcloaks could take over the summerset isles with ease and there is also a possibility for hammerfell alliance, the piss elves stand no chance against an army of dragons and angry men whose ancestors waged great wars against dwemers and snow elves🤣
There are only two times in Skyrim when you see all of the Imperial jarls together in one place: when they e lost and when they go to Elenwen's party to kiss Thalmor ass like the traitors they are.

Say what you want about Ulfric Elisif, but he's no coward. Not like the Empire who bowed before the Thalmor to end a war they were winning.

My first character was a Nord named Yokai and i accidentally join the stormcloaks and don't now how to get out, so i just win the war in the side of Ulfric, in the end only remains pain. I make so much mistakes with him, Joining the Dark Brotherhood, Kill Paarthunax and a several numbers of npc. My new character was a Imperial Orc named Akuuma, i make him to be the Hero than Yokai was suppose to be
Note: Sorry for my poor English, that is not my main language, and that's also just a report from my first experience with the game. Sorry Yokai, maybe in another world you can be the Hero you suppose to be
This is rather poetic The Hero Orc Akuuma versus The Chaotic Nord Yokai a fitting tale
An ugly orc with ugly choices
You can switch sides during the quest to get the Jagged crown. You just need to go to Castle dour and give it to Tullius.
jarl elisif bitching about losing to the stormcloaks. haha 😂
Me: Hey, I know your father is dead and I helped his murderer defeated you but... *Put on Amulet of Mara* are you seeing anyone?
Everyone in the room: *Look at me with shock and disgusted looks*
It was her husband, not father.
The fact that the Moot never meets in-game points to the Dragonborn ultimately becoming High King. Either through respect or fear, they can easily get enough of the Jarls to fall in line to support their claim.
This is canon

I still side with the Empire. Solely because not only are they not racist and are the only thing that keeps the Dominion away, but also because Jarl Balgruuf sides with them no matter what, and Whiterun's done so much to get the Dragonborn on their feet. Edit: and besides, the Thalmor are going to launch their attack upon Tamriel anyway. Best fight them with a united front, and should the Summerset Isles fall or the Thalmor surrender, I suppose the ban on Talos wouldn't really matter

And in the daedric quest "the whispering door"I think it's its name, the one with the daedric Lord Mephala. We know Balgruuf supports the Stormcloaks, so he hasn't been totally honest with us.
