By far the Greatest exponent of Raga Bhairav today.. The Power and Raas in his voice is something else. Absolutely no sign of deterioration in his voice.. The lady singing in the background completely spoilt it according to me..
Its amazing how you get people like guruji, rashidji etc... to perform at your house!!! It must be a great honor. Thanks for these wonderful videos. Its nice to see Shwetaji and Mukeshji accompanying guruji.
I read from the web that Raag Bhairav is for the autumn season. A very powerful piece of music from Pundit Jasraj. Somehow house concerts can be so powerful, it must be the intimacy between the audience and the musician.
Mr. Harji, could you please upload the second part of this beautiful rendition? It would be very lovely to hear the rest of the Antara and his improvisations.
Divine..... Divine... That's all I can say... This composition portrays that music has no religion... It's strange how a Hindu singer, Pt. Jasraj ji, chants the name of Allah with Bhairav, a raag dedicated to a Hindu god, Shiva and that composition touches so deeply my heart, again a Hindu... Joy be the name of Allah.... ☪
great, thanks for the posting.
