Injustice Batman has it the worst of any Batman in my opinion. He lost his parents, Jason (till Red Hood), Dick, Clark (whos like his brother), Damien (i agree in Injustice he's terrible but i like him in the animated movies and some comics), Gordon (dies of cancer in the comics), later he loses Tim (to Zod) and even Alfred dies comes back but then leaves because hes a burden... ...and he still doesn't kill.

Alot of people seem to be misunderstanding the force of which someone of robins calibre could throw an object, the shape of said object, how it hit nightwing and where; point first on the temple at the speed a fully trained assassin can throw in a rage; the easiest way to kill someone via the skull other than breaking the neck is by crushing their temple, it’s why it’s a popular spot for people to shoot themselves in, leads to the frontal lobe. It’s also why alot of fighters get knocked out, have fits and get cte from being hit there too hard. Their bodies are trained as superheroes, not their temples. Obviously Damien doesn’t do it on purpose but his strength, accuracy and general lack of forethought to the situation (night wing being distracted in a fight) caused a death by unfortunate accident caused by reckless action.

I think the point of that dialogue is to show Batman was wrong, he is Bruce Wayne and Batman is the mask based on his very human and Bruce Wayne-esque reaction. He's just not written well. I think Damiens arc should parallel with young Bruce's and the other Robins. He is a violent warrior who learns to be a person. From his beginning, Damien is short tempered and believably Ra'as' grandson, but through growing up with a Bruce who learns to better understand him, a loving grandfather in Alfred and older brothers to teach him he becomes not a future Batman (that should always be Terry IMO) but a future leader for the League of Shadows to make them a force for good cementing his Bruce's and the Wayne's legacy.
