Engine noise is pumped into the interior using the speakers ….they turn it off in eco mode I guess
I wish we could get those blue lights in the US. My 2021 just went into production last week. Hopefully have it in about 45 days. In the US the B&W sound is an upgrade, the HK sound is the standard option. Very happy to hear a software update will "fix" the slower than published 0-60 time too, I read many complaints but learned about the update from this video! Great review and I can't wait to get mine!

Why doesnt the us get those blue lights?
@@socommaster Not sure, but I'm guessing it might be a design standards thing. The US had very different rules about headlights compared to the rest of the world for a long time, and it might still have something to do with that.
@@4wheelsandaseat I read that the blue lights are reserved for emergency vehicles but don't quote me on that. I saw a picture of the alpine white with those blue lights and it looks stunning. Really wish I could get that, such a nice accent. My car is "At the Port". maybe gets on a boat this week hopefully! Been waiting since April.
Dont believe it has a mild hybrid function on this model

Good luck getting one. I ordered one in the middle of February and it moved to quality check on the 12th of June and has been in that status ever since. Not sure if it makes any difference but I'm in the USA.

Crazy how much this car is now. A cpo model is almost half the price now. I’m hindsight if financing new M5 would be the better choice lol. Good for me though who can get a 21 m550i model for 55k lol
